Anyone remember me? I was a member of the ill-faited LuxInvicta tribe....

Well, I'm getting back into civ again, and finding out that it's like riding a bike, you never forget how to squash the AI

Someone mind giving me a brief rundown of the demo games and the C3C intersite game(s)?

I'd love to hook up with Apolyton for the C3C thing, and I'd also love to get into a demo game.

Please help a General returning from retirement

Although I kind of grew bored of the demo games. I'm no longer a member. I don't even know if they are still around. Or if the demo game is still going on.

As for civ3, well I'm back as well. Conquests got me into it again. But I mostly play the scenarios single player. I really should try to set up some multiplayer games. Age of Discovery looks really cool in mulitplayer.

Same here...I've merely had...vacations from it, but I'll always return to old faithful...Indeed old, I wish they would make a sequel...though judging by the current events re: Civ3, I would want them only to update the AI and graphics engine, bugs, and any blaring balance issues. But I want the same feel as the original...plus, the ability to play with larger maps and all 14 factions...but now I must stop my OT, and drop this threadjack.

Seems I also had some respite with Civ3, but lately I've gotten more into it (after purchasing C3C on Boxing Day).

Unfortunately, I must agree with you. Perhaps if BR was still in the Firaxis team...

But all is not lost!...ermm, could someone please tell me why all is not lost, so as to give us some hope?

the current intra-apolyton demo games are still the PTW ones (PTWDG and PTWDG II).

There are two inter-site demo games going on, the regular ISDG (which is in the mid-medieval period - PTW) and the just-recently begun C3C ISDG. Perhaps you might want to join the latter though the regular ISDG is also pretty fun.
