I'm glad that v1.2(2) addressed some PBEM problems with Civ3 but I'm a little hacked off with the baggage that came with it. I'll stick with PBEM games that work with 1.22 and hope some consistency lies ahead, but I'm not doing a dual install to keep old games on life support. I know it isn't really that much work, its more of a principle thing.
I have two games that might not be compatible from what I've read:
DARRTZ-1175BC
6 players, no AI, standard otherwise. This was originally PtW and has been upgraded to C3C already.
Strictly Conquests-2590BC
8 players, all tribes new to Conquests including Austria modded in. This one might be upgradable since its a mod...
Both positions are middle of the pack as far as I can tell. Both have been moving at about a turn-per-week.
