	RollerCoaster Tycoon 3 Support Apolyton, buy Call to Power 2

I just saw they're making RollerCoaster Tycoon 3, though I'm not happy to see they're making it 3D

How many tycoon games in 3D has been successfull for the last many years? I can't think of any...

I no longer hope they make a transport tycoon 2, as they will assuredly make it into some 3d piece of trash.

But admitedely, it does look better than most 3D tycoon knock-offs, and seems to retain some of the style RCT had.

Actually, Chris Sawyer has confirmed he is making another Transport Tycoon, though not technically a sequel. And, even better, it literally looks just like the old one! No 3d for him! Whoo!

I never really wanted to try a RR tycoon game, until I heard about htis one. I think it looks good in 3-d If it gets good enough reviews, I may pick it up.

Without chris sawyer, it's not a real tycoon game as far as I'm concerned.

RRT doesn't have much incommon with RCT... it's not the same mission-type and it's not the same creators

screens look pretty nice to me... Playing the old RR1 now gives me the feeling i'm playing a 1988 DOS game

the old RR was too chaotic and too crowded, I could never see what and where I was building

Locomotion looks weirdly like Sim City 2000 with graphics like those in todays market, (1996-graphics) I don't think it'll succeed... I would hope that he would have gone with a graphic detail at least as detailed as Sim City 3000 or RCT I... but then again... the pictures might be tricking me- they just seem so sterile...

Frankly, the game also seems to look a bit like Trevor Chan's Capitalism... a throwback to the old days of 1994,96 and yore

And that just won't sell in todays market- and frankly even though I like 2D better than 3D... I would rather see *better* 2D and more detailed 2D like Caesar 3 than a throwback to Colonization or Transport Tycoon

(However, a throwback to Civ II wouldn't be too bad ) but then again Civ II is an entirely different sort of game!

The graphics engine is identical to that of RCT1&2 - both huge sellers. Then again, the style is slightly different ( it uses a more serious colour palette than in RCT) which might make it less atractive to a younger audience. But regardless, Chris Sawyer makes quality games and that's what counts.

Aha! Quite the detective you are. I was frivolously posting on threads, and neglected to take a keen look at the title. I would blame sleep deprivation for that. But you have to admit thta the new Railroad Tycoon looks pretty cool.

I don't mean gmaeplay wise, trains never really were that cool to begin with, I hated the model train set I go t when I was a kid, (Probably my second worst x-mas gift ever). I just mean that graphically, it looks like eye candy of sorts, with a dash of interactivity.

somehow i suspect that would explain why you dont like the simcity series.
