I noticed right now that the Apolyton time has shifted back one hour. It used to be six hours behind my home time zone, now it's seven. How come? Has the summer passed so quickly that Apolyton has already dropped the daylight savings time?

I haven't noticed, daylight savings? Lemme see...the time on my computer says about 11:00PM, or 23:00 now and I'm in EST.

Is one of the admins available for a comment on this? Why was the Apoyton time set back one hour on friday?

Could you set the script time forward one hour then? It says at the bottom of the screen "All times are EDT", but it isn't, it's EDT -1 now. It's just like when the Vatican threw out ten days in the 15th century. Most annoying.

Hmmm... whatta you think, Provost?  This is untolerable! There's an imminent danger that the forums will get contaminated with mad cow's disease if the time isn't set right soon. But alas, it seems we'll have to wait till the cows come home for that...

Maybe if someone was to set the time right - one hour forward - we could close this thread, and not have to Mooh! it to the top of the page every couple of days!

The forums should be on GMT or BST.

The server is located in Ontario, Canada, and thus runs on EST. This time zoning will not change.

Yes DanQ, but the problem is the forums now run on EDT -1, where it used to be EDT until two weeks ago. A lot of people have become used to EDT (including myself) and now it's been set back one hour. Plus, it says at the bottom of each page "All times are EDT", well it isn't!

Let me just express my joy and gratitude that Apolyton is now back on EDT. Thanks to whoever managed to finally set the clock forward one hour! Now let's try and keep it that way shall we?

OMG, it's been set back one hour again.  Couldn't you try and influence the people responsible for running the server to stop changing the time at random? It's most confusing right now.
Go with either EST or EDT, but make them stick to one of them!

Any findings as to why the script (and server) time keeps changing?
Do you think anything could be done to make it remain fixed - except for changes due to daylight savings time?

Contacted GS tech admin. asking him to look into it... will keep apprised of any progress on this front.
