	Population bug? Inflate your Upload Space

Hi guys.

Been wondering if any of you guys could help me out with this odd issue I have with CTP 1.

On my desktop computer, with Windows ME...

After playing a CTP game for a hundred turns or so, my cities suddenly gain 1 pop point every turn, and the food stored goes up and up.

By turn 400 - 500, I had cities at sizes 300 and upwards. The food stored goes up and up infinitely, from say, 1000 food stored, to like 10,000 or so at end of game.

I'm not sure what causes this bug to happen.

However, on my laptop, this bug doesn't happen at all. I have Windows XP, then I use Comptability mode to switch to Windows 98 / ME mode to run CTP.

Any ideas how to figure out the source of the bug? Help would be appreciated.

I think I remember someone reporting a similar thing in the past (you might want to try searching this forum), but I don't think any solution was proposed. If this occurs with just one game then I think you'll have to abandon that game. If it happens all the time, then I can only suggest that you try reinstalling CTP, or else just play on your XP machine.
