I can think of ten posters off the top of my head. And the worst cases are those who've had their post count reduced from a penalty recently.

Post counts aren't needed for anything related to the forums, so why do we have them anyway? Sure, it's a script feature, but as things are now it seems more like a bug.

I say drop the post counts.

If you must, you can award titles for posters who have made special achievements that has benefited the site and forums over a considerable time span, but the post counts create more problems than good.

On the topic, how about following somewhat the same model as the "gold" system in Civ2: Once you reach +10001, your post count becomes -10001, and you get to be a "settler" for long, long time! That should make the spamasters **** in their pants.

Yeah, CD got a 20% reduction awhile ago and still managed to make "Emperor" in the blink of an eye. Say no more!

I agree that we drop the post counts. I think that would reduce spam.

Or how about give spammers a special title "Losers?" Just a suggestion...
