My vote goes for StarShip Troopers (movie) style.
The only fascists you could cheer along with. Plus they had cool uniforms and even better showers.

True Jam! The movie just shows special effects on bugs, while they ahve forgotten great fascist utopia atmosphere from the book. They have changed so many things, and movie is in fact terrible. But book isn`t. Why does Hollywood do that, WHY!

The book is great too. I don't see how we will afford all that jump armour though.

The movie was basically a parody. If you watch the movie a) expecting it to be bad and b) expecting it to be far removed from the book, then you should enjoy it. The movie is so bad that it loops back to good - its one of my favourite bad movies. I love Resident Evil as well though, so take that as you will.

No, indeed I have not read the book. The movie was hilarious, purely because it had no self respect. I'd never have put the spartans down as that, but I think they'd be very good RP'd as the film. Tehe!

You should read the book too. Very different to the movie but a great read too. I was going to add the disclaimer "if you like sci-fi" but then I realised what forum we are in.

Starship Troopers = Great Theam

But you can still come up with some twists on your goverment and political system, I would imagine your going to have strick system of ranks and new members will not imediatly be involved in desision making untill they have become "citizens". You could justify any of the games goverment system rather easily as well.

That's a rather important question that should be thoroughly discussed by everyone. Such a thing would of course also depend on whether other factions would be willing to use the Spartans' services as a mercenary faction, or if they would rather see the Spartans as a normal faction which they could also *gasp* attack.
