Hmm... I used to be against the green smiley too - so much so that I put a note in each post where I was "forced" to use it, about how much I hated it. But lately, I've come to like it although it's not the smiley I use the most...
So I'm quite happy with it now.

I'd like a nice Smug/Mischievous Smiley. Possibly it should be purple. Or green. We don't have any grass-green smilies...

have all been around for too long. Green is the new wave! 
or better yet, blue! 
Red is good 
, and those are the only two really good uses for it. Never the less the true potential in orange has not been seen (only 1!!), although there is the underused 
smiley, a new orange one, perhaps with a better expression would make a nice addition.
