This is absolutely bizzare. I'll talk to Unorthodox about it. Makes no sense to me why Tabemono would go for Invention unless they're worried about someone beating them to Leonardos and they have a prebuild ready to go.

I'm not fond of MAST doing Chiv as they'd need Monotheism from us. What do you guys think? Monotheism for Chivalry?

Invention is a higher point tech. If they are going for Leonardos and a horsemen upgrade it would be better for them to do Invention and let MAST do Chiv. They can research faster so they want to do the higher cost tech. It also leaves them open to continue up the military path once they have Invention. If they do Chiv they will be boxed in waiting for others to finish techs before they have something to research.

Som let's do a trade with MAST of Mono for Chiv + gold. Mono is 4 more points than Chiv. Going by our standard of 10 gold per point then MAST should give us 40 gold. I wouldn't mind trying for a little more gold as we are the ones hanging out on this deal. Make sure we get the gold now, not later when they have Chiv. Also get a no-trade clause.

MAST needs to get going on the research right away. I would like to send them Mono this turn. Let me know. I will play later tonight.

I also had a chat with unorthodox about it. I understand now their desire to go up the Invention Tech Tree.
