	Adding new resources, need help. Avatar Enlargement: We've got the solution

Hey group, newbie poster with what (I hope) should be a quick & easy question. I'm trying to add some of the special resources from the Conqests (Civ3:C btw) into the main game. I've gotten pretty comfortable tweaking the main conquests.bic file but this issue with new resources has me stumped. I simply cut & pasted the resources from the resources.pcx files in the various conquests folders to the main resources.pcx file, but in the editor the resources display in a square with the pink background, and in the game they all come up as black squares. Any ideas here? I'm thinking it might be something messed up in the image its self. Also, I did not modify the resource_shadows.pcx file, could that be messing things up? TIA

The program you're using to cut and paste probably isn't saving the magenta background properly. I've read that some programs just won't work properly, if it's just a bit off, it will no longer appear transparent. Try another graphics program.
