Can you feel as the vigor and health is slowly sapped from you as the cells grow old, wither, stop multiplying and, finally, die? Richard, can your senses pick the chemistry that frees the nutrients of your body to be consumed by bacteria, insects, worms? Are you afraid of never being able to think another time, never feeling any joy, or agony, not seeing the darkness in which you, and everybody else is doomed to be in forever?
And...
Don't you know that you don't have to care? Don't you know that the ultimate goal is not consciousness? Don't you know that life will never be eternal? I'm telling you, the need of survival is a weakness. You are afraid only because your own weakness! Only because your body, and millions of different bodies before that have followed simple laws you have these weaknesses! Needs! Don't you know that you only need to let your needs leave your mind and you are more free than ever?
( And can you tell am I getting any better in writing stuff like this? )
