I'd miss Mafia if that was stopped, but I can't say I'd be too bothered if we lost Hangman. It's fun, but the large number of single letter posts makes it questionable at best. It would probably drop like a stone if it was moved to OT though.

I have to say I'm having trouble seeing the distinction between this and any other forum game. Mafia in particular is 90% spam and probably the worst (though I concur it's extremely good fun).......at least people here are thinking a bit.

Also, it would incredibly easy to cheat at Hangman if you were so inclined.
I've got the smaller version of the shareware program Puzzlex (look for it on Google - it's really useful for making, and if you're not that good at them, solving crosswords. ), but if you paid for the whole thing then you could easily just type in the letters people have guessed correctly and then be given all of the possible words.
I'm sure that other programs are also able to do this, if you're dumb enough to bother cheating at Hangman, but even so, it's harder to cheat at Mafia, and impossible without colluding with either the mafia or GM.

I'd like to keep it here personally. On OTF it would:
A) get lost
B) use up OTF space, when it would almost seem like a club thread to some, due to the few games players there
C) get spammed much, much more
D) many Other Gamer's don't like using OTF, because of the spam, and so might lose interest in this, and
E) It's a forum game, and personally, I don't see much of a difference between this and one line "sent" posts in other forum games. Sure, it's more simple, but is complexity a pre-requisite for Other Games forum place? Personally, if the fact it gives postcount for posting is the only bad thing, I'd think it a shame to move it. Mafia seems to eb more filled with spam, although the actual game posts are longer, as has is Gladiator at times.

IMHO it should stay, but obviously, it's rah's call.

Ok then: Feedback.
I would prefer it to stay in the OtherGames forum. I check this section multiple times as it is my homepage in Opera. OT I check much less often. Therefore it would be much less likely that I would be able to participate as much as usual. Even checking this thread often I can't post due to two letters already having been chosen. The chances of coincidence that I check the OT just after the GM updates and before two others have guessed a letter are slim.

Also, threads here don't need to be bumped each hour just to stay on the front page. To keep this thread on the first page of the OT would require the game to be run at a burn-out pace. While the lack of +1s may be a factor, there are other reasons why moving the game to the OT would sign its death warrant.

Still, your choice, and you'll get no complaints from me regardless of your decision.

Upon review, it does look like real effort is being put into it and an actual game is going on. And based on the feedback, (thanks for that guys) I'll leave it here for the time being, but reserve the right to review as often as I feel necessary in the future.

I don't see this as being worse than any other game here. Aren't the DemoGames 90+% spam? This does involve at least something of a challenge.
That said I wouldn't miss it if it was killed or moved, but I don't spend as much time in the OTF as I used to.

To weigh in again on the game issue, I wouldn't play this if it was in the OT, not because of +0's but because the crowd here is what makes it fun, as with all the other forum games.

As has been said it's a judgement call, but there should be some distinction drawn between the various games if the judgement is made to move it. Rah plays mafia, so he knows as well as anyone how spammy it is, but that has not to my knowledge been considered for moving to the OT.
