Bugs Update.
As you guys recall, we’ve had two artificial wars in the last 20 or 30 turns. The first was with Egypt, when a peace treaty expired and the game declared war when no action was taken to renew the treaty. The second was when Port was forced to declare war on the Arabs to make the game not crash.
Interestingly, the game did not cancel a RoP between Arabia and Port during the war. That RoP was on its last turn in the turn just played. I’ve no idea why the war didn’t cancel the RoP, but there you have it.
In all these bug-related diplo events, Port will treat the diplo outcome as if it did not exist. Agreements must, I guess, then be formally concluded off line. In contrast, when a bug breaks an existing deal, Port will do everything possible to restore the status quo ante for the duration of the previous deal.
There, we have that off our chest. I’m sure you all were fascinated.
Sent, by the way.
