I'm not free this evening but are free tomorrow evening (28/4/04) from 7:30pm UK time (sabrewolf I think that's 8:30 GMT).

How does that sound guys? It would be great to kickstart this game to the interesting parts!

thursday is always my worst day... i'm usually not home before 22 UK-time.

if we can't get a day which is good for everyone, let's at least try best effort. check your mail before and after work, during the evening when you're at home and before going to bed (if your partner allows ) ... then at least we may get an average of 2-3 rounds per day through.

speaking of GMT: is daylight saving included or not included?
if not, i prefer speaking of UK time (=wester european timezone)... this summertime/wintertime makes all more complicated

Most Tuesdays are unfortunately.

Guys what would be ideal is if we could agree 1 night a week where we spend a few hours playing some quick fire turns. Tuesdays won't be good for me for a few weeks, and sabrewolf can't usually do Thursdays. I assume we all go to the pub after work on Fridays?

I would therefore suggest Monday nights or Wednesday nights (if Wednesdays aren't always going to be baaaaaad for Moonbars).

Daylight saving is not included in GMT. Currently the UK is 1 hour ahead of GMT because of daylight saving (ie 10pm UK time is 9pm GMT). During the winter when it isn’t daylight saving, UK time goes back to GMT. So from now on we’ll speak in UK time okay?

This wednesday is not baaaaaaad anymore, it's looking goooood now, so we could do this tomorrow?

Wednesday is actually normally a good night, but Mondays are not (race training) so i'd be up for wednesday night civ.

I work nasty shifts, sometimes I get up at 5am, sometimes as late as 8:30, and I can be at work until 4:30pm -> 8pm, so if we pick a regular time 8pm-midnight works best for me!

it looks like wednesday is the _only_ day during the week that suits all (maybe sometimes on weekends?).

so lets try it tomorrow. i should be home after 17:00 UK-time and around for the next 7 hours after that

20:00 to 24:00 suits my quite fine on most days.

moonbars, will you play your round today? :wink: :wink:

btw, what does the late sentence mean? 1st word "moonbars" and later "everything"... tricky tricky

Perhaps there is a hang-up in the email system somwhere.. perhaps we could think about another system for doing quick-fire turns.. perhaps send them to each other on MSN messenger?!?

MSN messenger is even more unreliable than email. and it's not calles "PBMSN - play by messenger"
other solutions could be an FTP account or attaching the save here... but to be honest, i prefer the mail solution. as safety, everyone could specify 2 addresses?

Okay guys, so it's all on for 8pm (uk time) tonight.

I'm happy to stick with emailing the turns rather than sending them via messenger. I have shortcuts etc set up on my desktop and can this way turn the saves around very quickly.
