Ps I only tried this in the latest play test not in the unmoded game the animation starts when a city is made or the city begins a turn.

I'll check it out soon...Do you think it would be cool to have a city that grows and shrinks (or turns to slums) visually or have something that looks like lights or traffic or industrial smoke...

It was a rush job so if we ever make an animated city mod it will have to re done.

Any ideas on what to do with it.

I think so too, I can borrow smoke affects from Civ3....

we could also have small cars or carts etc move in and out of the city (giving it a Caesar3 or simcity look)


I also have some fire animation if we want to do that for disorder/riot or we could get more creative and have people fighting in the streets (very small scale though...)

Ok I attempted my first city sprite. How do you get makespr without resorting to DOS? you guys get tat going yet? ANyways attached ate the 2.txt, and the sadow an the file. I think I did the alphachanel right. Can you guys check it out and let me know what I did wrong?

I got this from Cyber Dreyk if anyone thinks they can make a FLC-sprite converter this might help:

I can give to you source code of the Civ3Flc v.1,0,0,20, written on Microsovt Visual C++ (v.6). Maybe it can help you...
You can get it here: http://www.civfanatics.net/uploads7/Steph.zip (I have uploaded it a few days ago for Steph).

One remark: in case this code will be used you should make mention of Jimmyh and Cyber Dreyk and inform me about it.
