I would like to see if I understand what I've read so far correctly ... please correct me where I'm wrong:

Legoland is our main ally, and basically saved us from being destroyed by GS long ago (190 bc?). Thus we occupy a nice but small island off the Legoland coast. We're in the early Industrial age, researching communism, with two major ongoing tech deals, one with LL to trade everything we get to them in exchange for everything they get, and another with ND to trade tech for money (?). We are starting to build up a naval fleet and most of our cities are right around Aqueduct size, with marketplaces and aqueducts.

Other Civs:
RP, GS are not hugely friendly in general but GS at least is playing nice (For now). GoW might end up on their side but is more friendly. ND seems like they're heading towards our side, and LL *is* our side.

Not sure who the major power on the other side is -- GS, GoW, or RP? Get the idea it's GS, but I didn't read that much on RP ...

ND seems to have unlimited piles of cash (150 gp a turn? That's *insane* to me, I never have that much available cash even when I'm kicking rear in SP, unless I cut rsch down to 0 or something (which I suppose would then pay for rsch of other cultures ... never mind ) )

Are we likely to have a war any time soon? Is anyone at war right now? How strong is LegoLand compared to GS, GoW, or RP? And do we have any prospects of doing anything meaningful ever (especially in terms of growth) -- ie, is the alliance with Legoland partially intended to someday in the far future allow us to reoccupy our homeland and/or take over some other location? Or is it just a way of staying around for a few more turns

Oh yeah, and which color is which team, so I can understand the map better? GS I figured out, and GoW might be black? but Yellow is RP or ND? and Isabella(Spain), is that even a human player?

edit: k reading the RP forums I remove them from my "are they the major player" question, since they're obviously not I'm starting to realize GS seems like "the man". How does Legoland compare to them alone, and how do we + legoland compare to GS + their allies, with or without ND, and what about RP in that mix, are they the GS version of us?

GS - blue (dark)

GoW - black
Lego - green
Vox - the awesome red.

You have it pegged fairly well. I can send you save to look at, with the password attached.

Lego is clearly the strongest - but we are allied to then for life. I know that flies in the face of winning the game, but demo games take on personalities and a very human side. Some of the stuff in the public forums has been at times brutal, but generally always preety heartfelt.

Folks want to win - but there has been a huge investment of time and enery and emotion to get to this point.

I suspect the world will get to the point og global conflagration sooner or later. The others can not sit by and watch Lego win a spaceship victory.

Will fill in some more - as time goes on. Rhoth is our regular player now. He is the 'controller'.

I think that having one main controller is by far the best (I Think that right now Beta might be our only other controller though)

so basically reading, and giving the occasional imput is the main thing

doing some overall strategy is of course also important, as is diplomacy (but Beta does a good job as our chief diplomat, he might occasionally need help though)

got it I've a poli sci minor (to the extent that my college gives minors, which is not) with focus in international relations, so perhaps I can help with the diplomatic and/or strategic aspects of it. Tactics I'm probably not as good at, certainly not for multiplayer.

Hey Snoopy, if you'd like to start working on some of the diplomacy that is fine with me. I've been handling most of the diplo work as it comes up since I'm the most familiar with the turn play, but I have no problem handing some of it off.

How do you think I leapfrogged you to emperor? Being the MOI or deputy MOI in three different demogames on Poly, as well as the primary diplo liaison for one of them tends to increase post count. Of course now I'm a bit burned out on so much MOI work which is why I dropped two of them (not that I ever really did much as deputy of the C3CISDG).

I'll continue as MOI and primary turnplayer of Vox though unless anyone really wants it.

I think its time for someone to step up to the plate and help out here.

And I recommend one of the newer or less active team members.

Im really worried about Rhoth and burn out. And he is too valuable of a player and more importantly to valuable of a friend for us to let this happen.

Its not like this game is life and death for us. We may still get some action but Vox is basically a sideshow right now to the bigger game. This is an EXCELLENT time and place for some new or less experienced players to get some experience in the demo game environment. If you screw something up, its really not going to matter much in the greater scheme of things. And one of the best ways to learn is to just do something, make a few mistakes, learn from those mistakes and become a better player.

So what do you guys say? Anybody ready to step up to the plate and help Rhoth out?

Snoppy thanks for volunteering to help.

Learn the trade here, and then consider helping us on FAM issues in other demo games.

We have been looking for FAM guys at the PtWISDG and we may eventually need some more FAM guys at the C3C ISDG.

btw snoop - I asked Arnelos to add you to the mailing list for the saves - so you will get them regularly now. As per demo game guidelines - it is Ok to open them to see the current situation, but no playing ahead. Onlt Rhoth - the current Controller plays our turns.
