Played that one at first but to be honest I'm really not yet good enough for that one, so I went back to bridge to get the basics down.

Csar is a good map though, and the update should feature a similar one.

Farcry used to be good, but recently it has become infested by 12 year olds who fire the rocket launcher at everyting that moves (including team mates). The last couple of times I have played, I have ended up disconnecting in disgust.

Hey, we should have a 'poly farcry session - we could make a password protected poly server with 'apolyton' as password.

Yep, it's an MP game only.

You need to do some basic SP training but except for the medic training ( ) and the sniper and special forces it's not difficult.

I played it even before I got up to high enough to play SF. I was one of those noobs with the RPG. I fragged so many teammates it's not even funny.

I'm pretty decent overall. I'm at around 30 or something honour. Kill about twice as much as I'm killed (that's not bad given the average level of opponents in that).

On the topic, the original Medal of Honor on PSX rules.

Also, never having played CS or BF1942, I'd imagine troopers jumping constantly might look extremely stupid. Do you wan't to look stupid?

Also, I believe Ted Striker and Zero both had horrible hangovers on the 11'th...

The Normandy Invasion's 60'th anniversary is coming up, next June 6'th. Any, um, festivities where you live?

Edit: And and most of those dudes in gray Wehrmacht uniforms in WWII propably weren't members of German National Socialist Workers Party, or NSDAP.

This game was the bomb.

I'll never forget the railroad level, where it's dark at night and you have to chase down bunkers, and the railroad cannon is off in the distance lighting up the sky like lightning.

In Medal of Honor Allied Assault, you get to revisit that French town (can't remember the name) and it's snowing and at night and that is such and amazing level. Man I think Medal of Honor has the best maps of anygame I've ever played. The immersion factor with the surrounding environment was the best ever.

Got spare money?

I finally tried Call of Duty on MP. It wasn't that hard, I had about 1:1 kill/death ratio, but I got bored quite fast. All games were team deathmatch, and eveyone ran around like idiots with no other goal than shooting the opposition. Too brain-dead for my taste. The other game types are probably more fun, where you have an objective to reach, but they seem to be played more rarely.

Only bad thing about the original MOH on PSX was, that the stars were... colorful.

The music was great, OTOH IMHO. Perfect for the idea of the game. Giacchino Rulez OK.

nah, i just get pissed off when someone who plays for "game immersion" and for the atmosphere of the game thinks he knows his **** when it comes to competitive strategic play....

Do you wanna look stupid or do you wanna die? Even though you may not have played CS, it doesnt take a ph.D in strategic CS advanced tactics L337 clan degree to get this question...

Jumping is a stupid game feature, not a stupid tactic.

They solved it in AA so you can't shoot/reload etc. while bunny-hoppinh or sprinting for that matter.

Kinda tru alva. Games that are supposed to be realistic, most will agree that its a "stupid" feature. But on UT2K4 no.... Most realistic games take it out because they dont want bunnyhopping to be a factor in gameplay element. You dont even have to answer "is it realistic" question cause thats waste of time. You can ask urself, "Should the game have defensive evasive feature presented by bunnyhopping" or should it rely on another kind of tactical level of gameplay? If the game designers wanted the latter, then bunnyhopping will be toned down with some kind of penalty.

Anyways the point is, whining about bunnyhop when you could be whining about other retarded "realism" factor such as people strafing and passing each other by while missing shots like crazy in FPS. Yeah, you're really playing a realistic game there. Bunnyhop is in top of whining list cause if you can't do it, you suck.

BTW Not being able to shoot or reload while in air is a bit unrealistic though. isnt it?

Look at Rb6 or DoD. If you wanna deal with bunnyhop, I much prefer the way those real realistic games did it. Limited stamina, lag on recovery, near 0% accuracy while jumping etc..

This is not because of how the game is designed, but also because of the limitations of the internet.
both lag and packet-loss are as much to blame for the strafe dancing than anyhing else.

Hmm, have you ever tried in real life?
Well carrying a 120pound load is going to limit your capabilities how ever you look at it.Shooting isn't going to be accurate either and as far as loading is concerned, nah.
I am talking about sprint at full pace, not running.

That's precisely why that game is lame. $10 a month? pfffft... forget it. BF1942 pwns that stupid game. Especially with the DesertCombat mod.

$10 is cheaper than whatever BF1942 costs.
