We do not still need a letter to CDG on the game long NAP issue do we? I believe that was adressed in last nights chat.

Also letter is out to PAL. I am awaiting a response, hopefully they will want a chat soon.

Got spare money?

Turn Results for 2310bc

Turn played at 2:20GMT using posted orders

PAL sent us Iron Working accepted. We accept.

We have iron to our west in the desert! No iron spotted near CDG. And in chat, PAL reports that they do not have iron in any of the lands they've explored.

No military orders posted, so I followed the spirit of those orders that have previously been followed:

Roadkill move northeast (9) and sees the CDG curragh! in the sea nearby.

Anthea moves north (8) And Spots SILK!

Grog moves north (8)

Con the Meek moves back across the river, moving West (4). The barbarians no longer threaten Road R Us, and we desperately need him for happiness police.

Are's Boys FORTIFY on their hill ... facing off with fortified barbs on the nearby hill.

Workers
Roads R Us CHOPS
Fred & Barney MINES

Cities
No changes to either city.

ISSUE OF NOTE

When I tried to downshift the slider to 90%, we lost a turn on ceremonial burial. NEXT TURN we are going to have to use the mil police and I moved Con back accordingly. Using the slider would cause us to lose a turn on the tech.

PAL reports that they are strong to CDG. We are also strong to CDG and Average to PAL.

PAL size 6
BAT size 5
CDG size 2
GWT size 1

Our rankings remain the same.

In talking with PAL in chat, the "Isthumus" that we were not to cross is no longer off-limits. They trust us. However, I still do not see it in our map just yet. They've described it as follows: "5 tiles wide. No resources. Cow at top". Perhaps we'll know it when we see it.

Soon another settler .... we need a city discussion thread and naming poll!

An eventful turn indeed. CDG will meet PAL vey shortly, if they have not as of the last turn or two. Good to know we have Iron - we just need to watch it so no-one else gets to it before us (unlikely I know, but you neve know...)! Hopefully the Silks means we will be able to sort out a trade with PAL, and we don't need to rely totally on Temples or the lux slider.

One last point - in dealing with those barbs, this came up recently in the Conquests forum:

Could prove useful for ensuring we keep them around until such a time as we want to go for unit promotion.

Does PAL have knowledge of our Western Lands?

CDG probably has. They've sent that boat around our coastline.

PAL and CDG are quite far apart. This may delay their upcoming hostilities.

If we can trade our Wines for Silks from PAL (assuming they're near it), we'll have three luxuries to work with. Nice.

No not really, they know where we are are more or less but no specifics. They know we have horses and iron. Im talking about PAL here.

I think PAL is planning on a horse army and building a road to the "Meeting Mountain", Last might in chat they said they would be giving us an idea shortly of how long that will take.

We agreed to share all Lux's when we have a surplus. PAL is looking at this like a marriage and we share resources and knowledge.
