T117 - 230bc Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

LL have a galley at New Plymouth-447, blocking HMSQV from returning this turn. I hope they're not up to mischief.

Proposed Turn Enter the AD-FREE zone

NOTE : I'll save this but not send it yet. In case we fear an LL attack we could rush the new horses east instead of south. We have until later on Tuesday GMT to send. If necessary it could be replayed with the cautious move.

-----------------------------------

Start

Python sent WM
Tabejin send Feudalism
LL want to buy Feudalism - it's not ours to sell though, AIUI.
Burundy builds settler, starts settler
Cov, Ciao, Sil complete Horsemen, start Archers

Cities

Izz adjusted for +5f
Burundy : adj for +f6 and growth next turn
10spt in Ciao
Cow River rushes Galley
Something odd happened to Badcrumble - only 2f needed so used taxman and allowed New Ply +5fpt

Worker Moves

3-team at Cov99 mine
3-team at Plymouth to Ply4
2-team at Ciao towards BC2. Will be joined there by new worker from CB next turn of The Great South Road to Cheeky Monkey
Izz250 assist mine at Plymouth8

Naval

Queen Vic stuck at Nereida33 - LL galley is at New Plymouth-447
Frumpy & Dumpy move North

Unit Moves - Core & Jungle

New Settler moves 111
Settler on war road heads for CM1444
Horses all head south

Unit Moves - South

Spear and Sword moves 1. Horse by CM joins them at SP3
Main stack which moves to SiegePer1. Python workers are unguarded at SP11. One horse moves west, assuming all clear. All is clear, so other horses follow. We have the option of threatening Gorilla or Macaque. A landing at Macaque87 would help Python.

Unit Moves - West

FP moves 6
N.Warr moves 6
S.Warr moves 9
Scout moves 68

Diplo

Sent WM to Python.

End

345g, -65gpt, Invention in 8 @90%
We are 1st in GNP & Prod, 2nd in pop and and mfg (last turn we were 3rd in mfg) 3rd in land

The world map is common knowledge, so they can't be exploring.

Either they're allied with Monkey or they fancy settling our continent or it was just a random-ish move .... dunno. We'll see if they say anything about it.

Support Apolyton, buy Alpha Centauri

If we slap 6 horses down from boats btw Goliia and Macaque, they'll need 3 NMs in each to defend, which will help Python.

Or, we send the horses and Spears as a BIG pillage team in between Gorilla and Orangutang, forcing them to attack the stack and expose/weaken themselves.

Pillage!

we could easily take out 9 tiles a turn, that would really hurt Monkey, and damper their GA

Tired of ads?

Good job with the turn. Oddly enough, I don't think I ever got it.

But then again, all that proves is that Tabemono was the #2 before they went into anarchy.

-Arrian

p.s. I guess we need to send notes to both Python and Tabemono, asking for them to send us cash every turn to help fund research. Should we be counting our beaker output so we can exactly split the research cost?

How big? Our last one got slaughtered after doing diddly squat, so I'm not real enthused about pillage teams right now.

I mean take the stack, staying to the high ground. The horses could pillage, and help with the recon.

I got a note back from LL assuring us that they are just 'exploring', having had their 1st galley sunk by barbs.

On the tech costs, I've even forgotten what the multiplier is for this game. Is it 24 x Base Cost? If so, we should set up a table and post it in a topped thread.

I believe that's close. But there are only 7 civs in the game, which might have an effect, and also it is very likely another civ will discover Invention before we do, thus lowering our costs.

Hence tracking our beaker output per turn (via the F1 screen, right before we save & send). Then we know what CoD invested, and we can request 1/3 of that each from Python and Tabemono.

147 beakers into Invention this turn.

Engineering editor cost = 36
Invention editor cost = 44

Engineering had devalued by 20% (2 civs) = 6 points. 30/3 * 24 = 240g from Python.

If we're first to Engineering that'll be 1056/3 = 352 each.

Support Apolyton, buy Civilization III: Complete

147 beakers/turn right now. That's 49 beakers per team, if it's split evenly.

So let's ask each of them (Python, Tabemono) for 49 gold/turn until we finish Invention. If we get a devaluation, we promise to refund whatever is fair.
