I'm playing this WW2 scenario as the Americans. I'm in a locked alliance with the English and the French. The Germans, the Italians and the Japanese are in another locked alliance. Probably "thinking" war on 2 fronts is boring, Churchill goes on and declares war on the South Americans (Mexico/Salvador/Guatemala/Panama/Bolivia/Venezuela/Nicaragua/Chile/Argentina), which prompted me to go to war as well. Initially, I wasn't going to pay any attention to these guys, but they kept sending partisans over into my territory so I decided to take them down a few notches. While my small task force of tanks was busy taking South American cities, I thought it would go easier if I had an RoP with Brasil (the only railroad in the area of Venezuela/Bolivia went through their territory). Well, a few turns after that Churchill makes peace with the South Americans and declares war on the Brasilians. My RoP with Brasil is torn to shreds and later, Churchill has the nerve to ask me to remove the Carriers operating on the European coast from his waters. When I ask for an RoP, he replies that he can't trust me because I broke the one I had with Brasil. And whose fault was that? At that moment, I realised I found someone worthy of being on the receving end of my new tactical nukes.
I know the reasons behind diplomacy was implemented the way it was, but it's still surprising to see the AI exploiting it like this. And I'm quite sure it doesn't even realise the little gem it found. I'm thinking of pulling my troops out of China and giving those cities to the Britts. After all, the reason why Stalin is throwing everything he's got at them is the result of yet another one of Churchill's smart moves.

Actually, I was amazed at the way the AI managed to maneouver me into looking "bad" on the international scene, while the game rules forced me to be nice to my allies. But that came later. When I first saw that, the only thing on my mind were the nukes I just put on submarines.
On another note, this game was full on bad AI decisions: China managed to get into a war with Turkey and got eaten up by Japan (by contrast, this was a smart move!), while Hitler divided most of his standing Panzer forces in 2: one half was just sitting there in North Africa (when I took Tripoli from the Italians, I was attacked by a Panzer horde more worthy of Genghis Khan) and the other half went on a joyride over the Central Asian steppes to succumb to my lone regular Infantry guarding some backwater (but walled!) Chinese hamlet I just liberated from the Japanese.
On a more positive note, after Italy opened the game by sending a bunch of troops over to China to capture a size 2 town in the middle of the desert with resources in sight, they reverted to the more sensible tactic of throwing everything else they had at my France liberating troops. They weren't very successful, but at least this move made more sense.
And the fact that Stalin just decided to throw the entire Red Army at this one size 2 town I held in northern China, just in range of my Carriers patrolling between China and Japan and linked by railroad to the airport in Shanghai is simply beyond me.
Oh, and here is another thing that I blame Churchill for: the only victory South America had over me was to sink one of my transports travelling to Europe with only a cruiser for escort (they had 2 cruisers). That transport was carrying my first army and a bunch of artillery to the european front.

The AI's crazy antics are among the reasons I keep returning to single player. I usually see some weird things in most of my games, but this one takes the cake.
Oh, and it's impossible to take out the whole Brittish Commonwealth in a 1 or 2 turns blitz. Everywhere I've sent troops I ran into a brittish tank or battleship. "Wherever wood floats, you'll find brittish", indeed.
