	ACDG: An excelent learning Oportunity Increase Your PM Length

Just to give everyone here a heads up that the next ACDG is going to be starting soon perhaps less then a month.

This game will involve 4 teams of Humans competing against each other with no Coperative Victory (thus enshuring a big final war). 3 AI will also be included and they will likly be beffed up a bit by the CMN (currently Buster). The human faction will be Gaians, Morgans, Spartans and Angels so we have a faction for every kind of play style you might like. Turn limits are 48 hours so we will go at about at turn a week pace. Each team has around 12 members so far and all are looking for more.

Each team will have a private forum on Apolyton (and infact most teams have already created temporary offsite Private Forums to begin pre-planning right now). Everyone is welcome to partispate, you can delve deeply into your factions strategy and run the show, simply observe and learn, engage in inter-faction diplomacy or RolePlay by writing Propaganda for your faction. Their is an MIRC channel #ACDG which is also for general discussion and recruitment (not guaranteeing someone will be their all the time)

Partispating is Democracy games can be the ultimate learning experience as members bounce ideas off each other and take a long and detailed look at the games situations and gain insights that would normaly be missed in faster single player or even normal PBEM games.

Even if your not shure yet what faction you might want to join you can still drop by the forum and Register as an ACDG lurker to show your support for the game.

Is there a general date set? I'd love to get into this after my exams, near the end of May. You say it may start within a month, but I assume a lot of coordination occurs before that. Would I be too late? Can I join up now and lurk until then? Just wondering about the ettiquette etc.

You can join anytime. There are quite a few people joined the current game (ACDGII) not too long ago. But you could of couse join now so that you can drop in the team forums from time to time just to keep an eye on what's going on.

I would show up, but there's no faction I can join without causing mutual annoyance.

My active mind and expressive tendencies cause me to produce a great deal of comments and ideas.
Of course, when people misunderstand the comments or stupidly retort the ideas, I become majorly annoyed.

I'll never be happy unless a faction allows my ideas to have effect,
but people can't understand the difference between having influence and having total control.

Gimme a position where my ideas can be freely expressed, then understood and respected, and you've got a player.
Of course, I doubt anyone's quite as open-minded as I am.

Teams are already established and growing. Note that teams deside internaly HOW they will be making desision, for example

Morgans are planning to isshue shares of Stock to its members and they they will vote with thouse shares on various Ishues and for elections.

Sparta is going with a military comand structure that lets each player comand some of the factions forces.

The Angels have ofcorse keept their plans a secret.

Gaians seem more democratic and I asume the better you run naked through the trees the more say you have in how the game is run.


Oh yes as it seems all the other factions have already done so.
