	Hiding The Casualty List? Support Apolyton, buy Civilization 2

Is there a way to do it?

It is a menu under the F2 military screen.
I want to know if it can be hidden - I know Nemo/Alex hid the screen in their classic 2194 days -

Can anyone tell the secret of how it was done?

I see it in the Nemo/Alex 2194 days...

Do you mean the thing that appears at the beginnig of each turn telling you your number of casualities?

It's when you press F2, and the army list comes up.

It's the button in the bottom left of that screen...

My old version may have been messed up...

Is there anyway to stop that button?

If you don't have an embassy with another civ, their casualties don't show up on the list.

Not sure if this is what you're after, mind.

I am thinking I am stuck with it, unless the details are hidden in the game.txt somewhere!

Can you do the same thing people have used to hide/disable the cheat menu - ie edit the game.txt file and remove the appropriate menu text for the defense minister?

I can tell you what doesn't work.

• Replacing the third entry of @ADVISORS in Menu.txt in the game directory with a blank line. The option shows as a blank in the Advisors menu, but you can still select it.
  
• Replacing "Casualties" in Labels.txt to a blank line. The button then gets the label "< nil >" but it can still activate the casualty screen.

I s'pose you could replace either string with 'Never, ever, ever, choose this'
