Aztecs reach AC Get a bigger avatar today!

For the first time in nearly two years of playing MP the Aztec civilization reaches Alpha Centauri. We came close once before, but some poor strategy and clever opponents led to our complete destruction instead.

Thats the first time in MP i've seen a game end by someone reaching AC.

Any MP game where a landing occurs is fantastic.
All the players that were behind and still continued the game to the conclusion deserve everyone's praise.

Gee most of our games come to a quick conclusion after nukes are developed. How did you guys avoid nuclear destruction?

RAH
The ferrets are even more impressed.

Well I lost my capital early in the game to barbs and had a lot of trouble re-establishing it, so I was always well behind in techs, development etc.

I dont know what Hydey was doing for most of the game

I was writing reports and drinking beer most of the time, next time I might try thinking about the game but then it would not be the same now would it?

There should be results from other games soon. For some reason the Australian group is persistent in finishing games.

I don't know why people bail out when losing. If your behind, it has its own challanges and its an opportunity to try stuff and learn.

As for you Hydey, your civs remain a mystery to me. Drinking and distraction doesn;t quite explain them

I have reached AC once.

No big deal, it was a very friendly game (2 humans and some AIs) while learning the MP menues.

Until I launched, that is. Our continents were very close and I didn't want to take any chances.

Operation Overlord...
