I assure you, Imran, from the heart of my bottom, they are all as genuine as lobscouse and spotted di-ck, head cheese and sweetbreads (which are neither truly sweet, nor bread), white leach and jellied eels.
Most of them I have tried.
Mock turtle soup is made when you don't have access to real turtles, Qilue- they aren't commonly found in the frigid zones of the North Sea or North Atlantic, so a calf's head would be used instead:
