será eso que dce Jasev, lo mejor es que una vez hecho algun cambio considerable empezar nuevas partidas para no tener problemas "raros"

pues me dice error al cargar
fallo al abrir el archivo (y me pone donde están la spartidas guardadas) tengo la versión 1.07f

En teoría la traducción (en su última versión, 3.0) no perjudica a las partidas anteriores, eso me tiene un tanto confundido

Pues entonces me temo que no va a ser de la traducción. Es un bug que pasa (pocas veces, es cierto) en la versión 1.07f. Haz la prueba de desinstalar la traducción, pero apostaría a que no es ése el problema.

Una vez hayas desinstalado la traducción, aprovecha e instálate el parche de la v1.29f de Civ3, que no sólo elimina casi todos los bugs sino que mejora bastante el juego: http://apolyton.net/civ3/files/patches/us/civ3v129f.exe

Luego, si quieres, puedes instalar la traducción correspondiente en mi página

jasev me sigue dando problemas no me graba ninguna partida he incluso no se graban las autoguardadas ya hice todo lo que me digiste.

bueno, probemos otra cosa: guarda el directorio de partidas guardadas en una carpeta de seguridad, desinstálalo todo y reinstala desde cero. Antes de instalar la partida, prueba a ver si se pueden cargar.
