	Seti@Home group details Browse Apolyton AD-FREE

I recently updated my email address for seti@home. It still states that my profile is a member of Apolyton, but the groups page itself hasn't updated properly. I'm still listed, but I'm not being credited with completed units.

Apparently, the group founder (ie Kent Wang) can regenerate the details, as detailed on the group page. I was wondering if Kent, or anyone else who has his details, would mind doing this - if it works, then Chris Howlett should have 21 units listed by his name. Thanks

I just checked the Apolyton team stats with my SetiTeam program. It shows 21 units by your name. The team page at seti hasn't been updated and still shows 19.

Yes, that's what I'd expect. The team page at Seti@Home says that sometimes the scripts don't work properly, and can be fixed by the founder. This is what I think has happenned.

I could, it might work. I can't unregister the old one though - it says (correctly) that is doesn't exist.

You don't have to reregister. Everything is fine. The Seti databases are just so overloaded that it takes a while to update the team pages. We have to remember that on average there are 500,000 units being returned every day! There is also 10's of thousands of teams and 2.5 million members, so there is no way to have the stats pages updating in real time. Maybe one day Seti will get enough donations and equipment to be able to handle the traffic, but for now it is still slow.

Fair enough then - I just thought maybe it was the email change what did it. Now moving up the ranks, and passing the God known as DanQ.

If you read the seti faq, occassionally work unit have a lot of extraneous noise in them. If that's the case, they get returned as unworkable.

For the record, I am no longer using SETI@Home but I am more than happy to let my unit total stand for team Apolyton.

Fastest one I did was 27 seconds. Apparently the WU was too badly corrupted but I still got credit.

I will donate my entire credits accrued to team Apolyton (133 work units) if someone can tell me how to get the account sorted out so I can sign it over. I have tried to rerequest the information but it just doesn't send it...

According to the latest info from the S@H guys, if you get locked out of your account. The only way to fix it is to create a new account and start over Not the answer you wanted to hear, but that is the only suggestion they have.

No, it's Ok now. Must just have been a slow update or something. It was quite correct to say I didn't exist at the address I'd given it, I'd changed my email.
