How is it creepy? It's just approaching women with a strategy for success. it's not stalking. It's more like the opposite of stalking because if the woman is uninterested you move on quickly.
Remeber to smile when you speak. That shows confidence or warmth.

You might be surprised at how great some of the plainer looking girls can be... looks aren't everything. |
This is the order I use.
1. Women that look interested in me
2. When that I am interested in.
3. Women that are acceptable to my physical standards.
I find that the ugliest girls will reject me faster than the prettiest girls. So why bother settling.
The other thing is what's this about getting shot. there are lots of nice places to live in Philly. Try historiclandmarks.com. Women like a cool apartment vs an apartment in the gutter. Think romantic setting when choosing location. If you want to stay around blacks then I recommend a mixed neighborhood with a variety of people. Like a greenwich village/little five points eccentric community.

I used to use the what i liked to call the " Hot or Not" method. Guess we're all familiar with the site and it's basic premises. Find out what rating you are, and go through a bunch of the female pictures to determine what the general perception of attractiveness is. Then aim for someone your rating or slightly lower and it'll probably work.
But really i don't think this your problem as much as a self image problem. If you don't believe in yourself, why would anyone else? Be a bit more cocky, if it helps give yourself little pep talks in your head just building yourself up. In a way women are like dogs in that they smell fear. It's probably an evolutionary thing...

As Ming said, not all women are into looks (and he should know ), besides superficial woman are high maintenance and are usually not worth it. If it's right, it's right.

Don't worry, it'll come.

I will die on some street without a woman saying those sweet words that every ounce of my being years for, "I love you, Ramsey". Every day I am scared to die before i feel love. |
Don't worry, life ain't that kind. It will first give you love, then rip from you, then kick you around for a while until are all you are left with are memories of how it use to be, a bottle of cheap gin, and a pet rat named bobo whose abode you are invading because the woman took the house, the kids, the IRA, and has you stuck paying an alimony which is 3x what you earn... That's how life works.

Are you okay?
I'm sure if you follow most of the advice given you'll be okay.
Remember it's always darkest before the dawn and don't fire to you see the whites of their i's
Seriously, either be confidant or act confidant.
Don't let a slump keep you out of the game.
The only way to win is to play.
Most of us know exactly what you're going through so don't feel like you're alone.

He's, what, 19y/o?
I'm 34, and I remember quite unfondly of being 19, starting my Freshman year at Eastern Mich., and feeling like a complete dork incapable of being with anyone (and desperately alone because of it).
The best thing I did was simply to LET GO. When I learn to simply let go and enjoy life moment by moment with myself and friends, regardless of my bleak romantic prospects, there were women aplenty.
You're obviously quite intelligent and probably more attractive than you think. Enjoy the life you have, with all its quirks and challenges. It WILL get better. There is almost a natural law that suffering does not, and cannot, last forever . Anyway, that's my advice.
