A more basic version is available outside. The internal use one integrates with "BlueGroups" and the "BluePages" (where it gets people's pictures and job titles), so the one you can download on the internet loses stuff like that.

It's way more than instant messanging, there's group broadcasts, polls, alerts, etc: http://community.ngi.ibm.com/
