I'mNowCivilized

Well, I am happy to say I have graduated to the Regent Level of play . I know, it's not that impressive, but I'm a far cry better than I was a few weeks ago.
I'm still trying to fine tune my style to pefection. I suspect playing on Regent will help in that area. The three civs I like to use the most are America, England, and France. I am still trying to decide which one I like the best, but they all seem to give you a fighting chance.
As for Germany, I have learned, take it out early. If you can box it in to no more than 2 or 3 cities and don't let it get technology.
Something else I thought was cool, if you can hang tough early on, pretty soon you'll be wheeling and dealing with the other civs and they will gladly pay through the nose for resources, maps, techs or whatever. In one game I turned around a -73 per turn economy to a +125 and still had armies and cities as big and as advanced as anyone.
BTW, has anyone else noticed that King Wang Kon of Korea looks like he could be a distant ancestor of William Hung?

Don't feel bad I'mNowCivilized, I got the game for Christmas and I'm still struggling with Warlord, although I think 1 more game might do it, cause I've noticed significant improvement in my late game, but you know, Greece, beign the culture boomer that it is for the AI, out-did everyone. I've significantly improved since I found this website and CivFanatics though. Browse around both of these websites and you'll be even better.
