Ah, a contested election!

Flip your gold piece and vote the way you wanted to in spite of it.

As Minister of War I pledge to push our Council to enlist additional Military Units, first for the protection of our cities from all those who would oppose us, and next for units to attack those nearest us (whether they oppose us or not ). While I cannot promise that we will be attacking anyone during my term of office, I do pledge that by the end of my term, we will be better prepared for War than we are currently.

Got spare money?

I think I do not understand this. When I looked at "View Results" there is only one vote and it's for MWIA. This after the stirring speech by the Raptor. Are you not supposed to vote for yourself?? Did you vote for the other guy??

Umm, nope, you can vote for anyone (including yourself), and if I understand your accusation you are suggesting that I would laugh in the face of our electoral system and not use my vote for myself?? a greater man then me would be insulted by the implication, fortunately we don't have to worry about that, all we have to do is worry about giving MWIA so many roles that he falls to the pressure and capitulates on the vote, allowing the true Minister of War to step forward.

* Sparrowhawk starting his propaganda B*llsh*t early (and if any of the above doesn't make sense to you, please let me know, it is always good to hear my message is getting out there to the voters )

Great bullshit manifesto from our schizophrenic feathered friend. Can we expect a response from Mr where's his hat?

Uh oh! I'm not doing so well....

Just dropping by (have little time ATM) to explain my absence this last weekend - first my laptop went to the shop for repairs, and when I got it back (after a complete reformat ) the phone company CUT OFF the ohone line and Internet with NO SODDING WARNING!

Needless to say I am more than a little pissed at this, and at the worst, all will be restored at the end of the week. However, for the time we are without home Net, I will be unable to post much.

This saddens me a bit, as it may mean I am not a good choice for ANY position, as although I will be posting heartily away in a week's time (with a little luck), for this next week I am likely to be all but useless. So if you think I should be rendered invalid from any/all races I am in, so be it, and I fully accept that, with no ill feelings at all.

But if I am a dud candidate, I fully intend to offer whatever services I can to any/all Ministers and vacant seats when I AM back online again.

How could the phone company tell you they had cut off your phone? The line was dead!

Seriously, sorry to hear about all the trouble. We'll see you when you are back on line more permanently.

Sorry to hear of your ISP problems, MrWhereIA; that's a total drag. Hope it gets sorted out quickly.

Since you have, more or less, taken yourself out of the race, I will buck up our fierce eyed Raptor with another vote. The Minister of War must feel confidence after all.

Congrats!! Now you can weigh-in twice as often or twice as much.

Constructing polls is not a picnic, at least for me. Perhaps it is a learning curve thing. For what it's worth, I find commenting a more enjoyable endeavor. Mope about as needed to cope; just don't slit your wrists.

I find polls an interesting challenge in 2 ways. First, there are so many fascinating ways to forget one technical part or another (like single vs multiple choice); second, I actually enjoy the challenge of thinking through all the options that people would like to see.

Don't worry - I'm far more likely to just complain about other options not being taken.
