I don't think we can, Theseus. I mean, we can share a lux with Vox, hope they trade it on, and declare war on Vox later on, but jthat wouldn't be terribly efficient. We could also ask RP to trade with Lego, but that is completely weird...

I thought Vox only had one friend? If so, that makes it impossible to say that we are going to cancel our other deals without arousind suspicion.

Say that we don't want them to resell the lux because we want to renegoitiate all of our other deals.

vox has many friends, of varying levels of course. They owe their lives to Lego, certainly, but if we were to attack either GoW or ND, they would certainly support them against us. After all, both were staunchly pro-vox during our war, to what extent, we don't know (gow landed troops against us). If we attack any of the big 3, vox would likely play all sides (except against lego).

And I intended that to read, "we are going to be possibly renegotiating our current deals when they run", not we are cancelling some permanently... I can see how unclear that was, thanks.

Yes... they're up to refining, RP, and medicine, and just got communism. They lack Steel, SM, AT, Elo, sanitation on us.

They can either do espionage, or help lego by going for SM, once Lego figures out we won't give it to them

I would like to lie, but Lego can tell them anyway. Tell them combustion, but send the reply tomorrow, explain about the lack of diplomatic focus (which is true) (and I'll be away from tonight until sunday morning).

The extra time should let the rest of the team comment.

No harm in telling them combustion. Lego surely know we've got refining and steel recently, since they can do the same analysis of the cost of these techs as we can, so its no big surprise to anyone that we're going for combustion next - there's not much else we can do. And if Vox are just curious rather than digging on Lego's behalf, it doesn't hurt us to tell them, does it.

Oh, we can assume Lego will hear from what we tell them, but indeed, it is so obvious no harm is done.

It's interesting to note that Lego is going for Steel, they're obviously trying to get to Marines asap as well, or they fear for an invasion, and need destroyers asap. ironclads aren't going to cut it when we are on the move, and they know it.

Never mind asking for clarification, if they disrupt a lux deal by attacking us, it's up to them.... you can ask for some kind of time frame, but don't raise suspicion on what we're up to!
