	Hot Seat mode not possible in CTP2? Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

hi there,

last week i installed CTP2 the first time and was very surprised that there seems to be no possibility for playing a hot seat game.

yesterday i visited the activision website and downloaded the update patch 1.1 - hoping that this helps me, but it didn't.

is there possibility to play CTP2 as a hot seat game? another patch which fixes that?

thanks for your fast answer - it helped, even i have the german version. but it works similar to the english way of enabling hot seat and PBEM.

but i have another question concerning Apolyton Pack v1.0. on 18. july 2001, dale you wrote to martin:

Wow, Apolyton Pack v1.0, I haven't heard that one in a while. That's a very old and obsolete version of the Apolyton Pack and I strongly recommend against using it, but instead to use the 2nd version of that mod: the Super Apolyton Pack. This version can be downloaded from the Apolyton Directory and includes both the English and German text files.

As recommended in the referenced site, I tried to open the "spnewgame.ldl" file to make the suggested changes for activating the Hot Seat, but it is a "LDL" file which Windows can't open. What's the secret to getting into this file?

I have now completed 2 Hot Seat games. It took repeated tries to get it to recognize the 2nd Human player, (it would just skip the 2nd players turn), but from that point on, it played smoothly. I played the first game on the Huge map, the second on the regular size. I had a few crashes in the first game, but they seemed random, and did not repeat when the turn was re-played. For some reason the auto save wouldn't work in the first game, but worked OK on the second game. There is no Human to Human diplomacy, and the Wonder movies need to be turned off, or the program will crash upon their completion. There were a few other minor bugs, but nothing that affected the flow of the game.
