	conmcb25/Beta Campaign thread Increase Your PM Length

This quite frankly will be a boring campaign for me. Mainly because until next week, I quite frankly dont have a heck of a lot of time to campaign. This trip to Romania is definately cramping my CIV Time

For experience, I have been a diplomat in the PtW ISDG, and also the assistant over there, the Deputy Fam. I am the Secretary of State for the American Imperialists at the MZO demo game. Im also a former counsel here, and currently the Ambassador to PAL.

No one on this team probably understands PAL better than I. I have been establishing a realtionship with F-P since last November when the idea for this Demo Game kicked into high gear. Now that we have an alliance with PAL, I believe it is time to capitolize on that relationship.

Most importantly, I have been involved with this Demo game and have remained active since the beginning. And I intend to stick with it untill the end.

Beta has a wealth of experience as well as most of you already know. I just see this as he and I trading positions, while he is busy with other demo game commitments.

So vote for us and we promise free women and free beer for all

To be fair, since I asked the same thing of NM in the other thread...Beta do you feel you have the commitment level for this post? I know conmcb25 is active and committed (), but do you feel you can spend the time necessary for the post too?

I believe Beta's issues right now are he has a lot going on with other Demo Games currently.

But in the future he will have more time for this one.

The deal we made when he appointed me assistant wasthat while he was busy I would take the lead.

The same deal will pertain if we switch places.

Beta and I work well together, if I need his help on a particular issue he will jump in and contribute. And as his other demo game commitments wind down he will be more active here.

But there is a stability problem with that. If you, and Beta continue to switch around positions, you lose familiarity with the other nations, as they will with you. It doesn't appear that we are a sturdy (internal) nation, if we have two people talking to them in rotates.

Thats your opinion.

There will be no stability problem. Beta and I work well together, understand one another and communicate frequently.

We should worry about the stability problems that would occur from electing a new minister every three months.

And the goal isn't just to switch positions. The goal is for the both of us to speak with one voice so there is no difference between the deputy and the actual. And personally I dont care which one is which, he or I.

Thats the whole idea to maintain continuity, so while one is busy the other can step in and vice versa.

Is Beta able to campaign in this thread too, because nice words only do not convince me of his (and your) availability?

Having been diplomat and ambassador for the Roleplay team, Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Monarchist Imperialists, and being High King of the same team for a few months, I know that what really matters in diplomacy are ultimately good contacts and friendly relations with members of other teams, because you have to get them do things that favor you. Experience is also important, but good relations are most important, and it is clear that both both teams have enough experience.

My only concern is availability.

The term is short - on;y three months. We have (already) very interesting situation. My guess is this will be the most important months for us. I wonder how will you keep communications with CDG. PAL is no more a variable but rather a constant (in math language) and we all know who has put the greatest efforts about this.
But how will you coordiante the team members and the ambassadors? We did not even understand that ander has disappeared and thus stopped all communications with CDG. Any ideas? More detailed answers are welcome.

OK - vote for conmcb25! Why - because the key relationship for us is with PAL, and con and F-P relate well. That's it. Pure and simple. I acknowledge that others could develop a sound relationship - but at this critical stage - why upset the applecart.

(if con and I are not successful in this campaign - I would strongly urge NM and MZ to ask conmcb to be ambassador to PAL. It would be best for the team.)

con's activity level is beyond question, IMHO. He is available and active every day at Poly, and heck, even when he is in Romania he is able to stay in touch.

Now as to me - yes - my Poly time has been scarce lately - but RL is stabilizing - and other than another conference next week for 3 days (Quebec City ) - I should be available more often.

con and I communicate well with each other, and more importantly, we communicate well generally. (other than con's spelling of course) We can easily incorporate the appropriate subtleties, nuance, and directness, as required, into our communications with the other teams. Both of us are experienced at the art of diplomacy.

con and I will recruit one or more additional active members into the ministry, and we will commit to be considerably more available.

In conclusion, vote for the true "masters" of diplomacy.

Vote for con and Beta.

There has been critisism on your roles as leader/manager of the department of Foreign Affairs. It is said that you didn't replace Ander when he was no longer active, what do you have to say to those who critisized both of you for that? Please answer both.

No excuses. I screwed up. I wasn't aware that Vander had gone awol as I hadn't been around much. And as Minister - it was my responsibility. The criticisms were/are valid.

And your question is key Aidun. Because what guarantee is there that it won't happen again? None - other than con's and my commitment to the team in this campaign to ensure that it does not.

All Im saying is if Beta's availablity right now is a major concern, then vote for NM and MZ.

Im not going to lie to you all, right now Beta does not have a lot of time for this demo game.

Thats why he appointed my deputy to begin with.
