Minister Reports Suffering from ads?

Science Minister:

When the current research is done, the next research should be Polytheism. On the off chance that we get to choose a tech from an AI, the preference is for Espionage.

City Planner:

In a mutiple choice poll where folk were to vote for one each from column A and column B, we got six voters...and 15 total votes.

Be that as it may, the greatest number of votes were for building more settlers in the colony. As far as how to place the workers in the cities is concerned, paying more attention to shields was more preferred than a food only approach...unless the two votes for banana were actually a plea for more food.

As for Apolytonia, 3 of 7 voters indicated building more settlers there.

There was an overwhelming vote in favor of having settlers build new cities ASAP, rather than making roads, etc.

Good luck!!

Trade and War (I like the Combination :D ) Enter the AD-FREE zone

Minister of Trade Report:

Our one and only available Caravan (Salt from Apolytonia) should be returned to Caralis (perhaps uncovering more black on the trip north?), and Loaded on the Caravel (or the Caravel could move south to pick it up, whichever is quicker, but I assume you will be rehoming the Caravel in Caralis). Then the Caravan should be sent to Egypt and a trade route established with either Giza or Kildeer (I leave it to your discretion which).

It seems that the people do not wish more Caravans in the colonies, so I will refrain from recommendations on where these Caravans should go (as I am assuming they will not be commissioned).

It also seems that we are to construct additional settlers in Apolytonia, so I will also refrain from making any suggestions on where to send the Gold caravan that does not exist.

_____________________________________________

Minister of War Report:

I have a simple request, 4 pikes, on which I propose we mount the heads of our Ministers should the enemy appear at our gates with only bananas to defend ourselves with, as it seems none (well...one vote for defenders) of them wish to defend our cities with anything else.

Editorial Note: I didn't want to build any units at this time either, and voted as such, but I have to keep up the image and all

Tired of ads?

It might help if folk looked at the game from time to time before posting. Pikes would be an interesting proposition considering we don't have the scroll that allows them. Might as well ask for a few companies of Riflemen.

Our lone Fanatic IS pretty thin defense. But this is a roll of the dice worth staking. If we get jumped anytime soon it will not have mattered. We better hope nobody comes scouting for about 20 turns.

perhaps the minister of war could arrange for some troops to do some more exploration of the great unknown?

Bloody Monk:
Riflemen would have been my second choice!! (and I know we don't yet have pikes, but hopefully by the time we need to mount the heads of the Ministers we will have obtained the tech )

Hydey:
Good to see you back posting again. As I noted in the MoW thread we don't have many units, and I leave the production of more to our City Planner, but what we do have is pretty sparse, we will have an Explorer landing soon near the Egyptian lands and that should help. We also have an Archer and a Phalanx in Apolytonia but moving either of them out of the city would further increase our unhappiness problems in Apolytonia. We also have a Fanatic in Malaca (which is None and would cause no unhappiness), but as our only defender in the colonies, I am happy leaving it where it is.

Nope but mounting their heads on Phalanx's didn't have the right kind of threat to it that I wanted so I took some artistic license and used "Pikes" instead

So, now you are the Minister of Art.

Are you going to "Ashcroft" our glorious female statues, too.

Forgive this stupid Canadian question but I don't know to whom you refer. (Google search of the name "Ashcroft" brought up the name of the Attorney General but somehow I doubt that is who you are referring to...though I suppose it could be... ).

Perhaps this snip from the news will enlighten...

"John Ashcroft doesn’t dance. The US attorney-general doesn’t tango, waltz, boogie, salsa or disco. Such is his grim Pentecostal affiliation that he also frowns on caffeine, smoking, gambling and alcohol. In 2002 he demanded $8000 curtains to cover two partially nude art deco statues in the great hall of the department of justice, where he often gives press conferences, for “aesthetic reasons”."

It was a cheap shot anyway. Sorry. Let's agree that it will be WONDERFUL if we are still around to get Fuedalism so that Pikes become available.

Monk, the Amazons are one of those strange traditions that go back to our first game, like the banana option in polls.

Is this something I "need" to know about?? There's a load of pages to go through, but I'll do it if it'll help our game.

Nay friend, we all agree to keep the Pages away from the Amazons and if you have to go through a load of them to get at the Amazons, then the Eunuchs haven't been doing their job.

Many things I have been called, but young I have not heard in many decades. The avatar is a pretty close likeness.

Also, young son of a Horse, such thoughts are unseemly to say nothing of how disappointing it would be for the Amazons.
