Play order was set up based on time zone. That way we're most likely to keep the game flowing at a one turn/day pace.

Put an end to popups!

Your first turn has been sent to Kermit. For those of you truly new to the game, don't forget to select "Save and Exit" at the end of your turn instead of "Continue", and make sure to enter a password.

Your starts are quite adequate in this the second attempt I made at randomly generating a map, being far better than the first time around when almost everyone had a lousy start.

I included "Wonder Victory" as one of the conditions, even though it is a nonstandard condition, because it was specified to me that "all victory conditions on". If that is a problem, I can restart the game (tho with a new map).

Good luck folks!!! If you need a temp fill in at any point, feel free to contact me (since I haven't actually seen anything particularly useful).

Do you happen to know offhand how many victory points you need for wonder victory, and what multipliers get added to the shield cost, if any?

I dont think we can set up passwords ingame, the only time we can do that is at the first turn witch in this case has already has been played.

I gave Snoopy an Admin password that he set up in the game. You should be able to set up your own password. I'll email snoopy and ask if he knows what's going on. If he can't fix it, I'll see if he can start a new game and send it to me first, then we'll just shift the play order, since that's what really counts. Plus, I forgot about Wonder Victory and would like to have that removed. But he would have to start a new game for that. I'm only disapointed because he said the starts were so good.

I wouldn't worry about a wonder victory. It can't happen until they are all built. I don't think I have ever seen Cure for Cancer.

So, kermit, did you ever get a chance to play your turn? I don't have the save, and am just wondering if it's the mail system screwing up or you just haven't had a chance to play yet.

How did you set up the mod for the "Game Full" PBEM? I've never attempted to Mod a game before. Let me know and I'll just set up the game myself, rather than bother Snoopy again.

How to Mod

When using the editor make sure your display is large enough, 1000x800 works well. Display is can be changed in the control panel.

Then make sure to open the Conquests editor, not the old Civ III editor. Ok, that was my first few months of modding.

All you are changing here are the starting units, so under Scenario on the top bar select Custom player data.

Then select player data from the bar just below. It is a purple icon 3rd from the right, and is greyed out until you do the previous step.

Select Players from the pop up. Starting unit info is in the lower left. Enter the number of units of each type for players 1- 5, then Ok and Save as.

There is your mod. When you start a multiplayer game select scenario under game type.

I set up the scenario from 1889's instructions (thanks ).

The order is the same, just beginning with me rather than kermit. You should all be able to set up passwords now.

IMPORTANT!!
These starts have not been checked. If you have an absolutley terrible start, YOU MUST SPEAK UP ON THE FIRST ROUND. If there are any terrible starts, we'll try again, or perhaps send 3 possibilities and vote. But let's just try this one and see how it goes. Drop me an email if anyone has any concerns. Or I suppose you could just post here.
