I think only people who have recently participating in the turn planning and playing should have a say on whether the Consciousness continues.

Or in other words, if GeoModder says we should stop, we should stop, no matter how many other people want to continue.

My opinion is that there is nothing we can do anymore. Strategy implemented by the Hive/Drones is similar all the way and they don't take risks anymore in their attack patterns. Nothing to learn from them anymore. From this point on it's merely CyCon dispersing a few colony -and sea colony pods, taking the last Believer bases and wait 'till Hive or Drones knocks on the last base's gates. Even the 'diplomaty' option is out of order since Hive/Drones are unwilling to discuss some sort of submission status we tried on PEACE. At the very least I think we were able to delay the inevitable a few turns by a lucky probe action so Hive at least (but Drones probably as well) were forced to spent some turns pumping up numerous defense -and drop probes.

I say, let's stop it!

Besides, 6 member votes so far, so a draw can still be reached if the next day or so 4 others vote negative. Haven't seen Impaler, Drogue, MWIA... here yet.

Frankly I don't think it's going to do any good. With some needless delays on the implementation of clearly polled options for the next game by some people for no good reason at all (me looks very sternly at someone in this thread) we will just end up with one game fizzled and the next one bogged down by fruitless silliness.

In that case what purpose what stopping this one serve? I would normally agree to do so to speed the next one up, but there seem to be forces at work preventing the start of that one.

Discussion on the next ACDG has stalled since this current game is dragging out fruitlessly. I say end this one as soon as possible so we can actually start on the next game. Most thing that need to be decided already have been, we just need to follow through with our own choices.

The fact that the Current game is dragging out cant been responsible for any delays in the next game getting organized because ONLY 3 PEOPLE are still playing the last game.

Theirs no reason the other 40+ people cant get the new game rolling as the diehards of the previous game finish it out. If nessary we could simply give all the Passwords to a designated player who will play out the rest of the game so the Hive/Drone aliance can get its cool victory screens and final score and other such propaganda materials.

Also with Buster our designated CMN away for an undisclosed period of time theirs as of yet no map to play the next game on. Once Buster returns things should start hopping. I think we need to start a Final push for recruitment amongst the PBEM comunity and wider Apolyton crowd, perhaps even offsight as well.

Yes, it might be a false presumption, but I know how it feels doing things all alone. 2 months ago I tried to convince people to participate, last month I was happy with some councilary advice, the last 2 weeks I had to play things without any backup. I've got enough of that.

For me, this is over. There is no use in continuing from this point on, nor for learning new ways of playing, nor for viewing new tactics.
