Okay, I just found out that energy crawlers contribute neither to trade income nor to the computation for which bases get trade income allocated to them.
How I wish I'd built my secondary SSC on a highland base with lots of worker-produced energy instead of a coastal base conveniently located near lots of trawlerable coastline ... what a waste of the Network Backbone ...
Note to self: SSC's belong in the highlands ... or at least the Network Backbone does.
