Uhh, the one south of Nancy, any way. Wasn't so hard. The Austrians have weakened their defenses a lot, and I pretty much just snatched the city from their hordes.

Though now I realize that I'll probably lose it in the upcoming turn. I saw a cavalry and was sure it was yours, Paddy. Only much later did I realize something... Your colors are almost the same. Loaded up the save again, and sure enough - it's French. It *may* take Belfort back if it attacks..

Indeed. I wouldn't mind keeping that city either. Marching the Jaegers all across Europe is getting tiresome. Much better to draft them from the French rebels.

As far as reinforcements, I have a whole bunch of new cossacks coming up to Belfort. So I will retake it painlessly if something goes wrong. So unless, you see Frenchies take it from me, and Austrains surround it, don't bother. However, I think Paris is much more heavily defended than I expected, and It looks like draft is going full throttle there, so I wouldn't mind some assistance there. After your boys are done with Orleans, which should be pretty easy, send 'em over to Paris.

Im back my esteemed friends, we are pleased to announce yet another city has been taken from the French in the south, and we feel Napoleans time is at an end !!

Further to your posts regarding Paris we too can send several cavalry detachments to assist in two turns from now, we do not desire to hold Paris and will gladly cede the prize to whomsoever desire it should it be Household cavalry that finally smash through their defenses

Austria asked for MPP but i refused, signed ROP with them and Spain to allow quicker passage for my boys. Sent ROP offers to both of you, and thanks for the tech Vovan

I am hoping for a few turns of peace now to get some city improvements built, then prepare a force for the next war.

Try to retain your techs as you will only strengthen your opponents by trading, although it does make a harder battle when up against tougher units

Just wondering, what's our executive plan now that France is gone?

In terms of research, I am getting Sanitation the next turn, so I will send it out to you then.

Now, as far as military action is concerned, who is our next target? It seems we are on a roll, and have amassed quite a power, so why stop now? We must crush our opponents.

As well, a lot of my borderline cities with Austria and Mr. Whittleboy, are defenseless, so if we plan on picking on one of them next, then I'd need say five-six turns or so to regroup my defenses. On the other hand, if we plan on attacking Spain, then I am all ready for it, as the majority of my offensive and quite a bit of defensive troops are located in Paris and other nearby posessions.

On a related note, I don't like my cities scattered around the way they are. So I propose a mutual trade that would consolidate all of our territories, and at the same time keep all of our easy accesses to enemy terrotories. So, here's the proposed plan:

Limogenes (4): Vovan -> Chris
Belfort (5): Vovan -> Paddy
Lyons (3), Orleans (8): Paddy -> Vovan

Now, this would make all of our borders nice and solid, while also giving each of us direct access to both Austria and Spain. Of course, I realize that in this trade Paddy looses a whole city, which doesn't seem fair, and I tried to work out a solution, and the only way I came up with is:

Brussels (9): Chris -> Paddy

But that now doesn't seem fair to Chris as he looses a more valuable city to Paddy than he gains from me.

I am saddened to hear that your scientists have been working on Sanitation

My own scientists have been hard at work on this technology for some time as well.

It had been hoped that through cooperation of our nations, that we could gamin quite an advantage on the various other governments that stand against us

ahh either way it is all good

well there are only a few techs left, then we will all have quite a war chest gathering around us

as to your trades of cities - well my people hope that you will be generous and reasonable with the people that we seed to your nation

as to which nation we go against next, I believe that we then need to gather our forces before playing our hands to the ai
better we are the ones who unleash the dogs of war - than allowing them the upper hand

also it would be good to bring the other ai nations in against them as well

To my dearest allies both Lords Vovan and Paddy, whilst we are in agreement that plans must be made etc etc we do not wish to exchange cities at this time.

Tech wise we should have the advance in artillery next season which we imediately send to you both

We too would prefer a short period of regrouping rebuilding etc before seeking a new war front, however we propose a campaign against the Austrians next, a foe that all nations have good access to, and we plan to bring along the Spanish to the campaign as a british ally.

We have certain reasons to maintain the Spanish as close friends of the British people not least the understrength garrisons in Portugal at this time
