	Poll: Who still plays with stock Microprose game? Lose 30 kilos (of popups)

I am not trying here to knock modified games, or those bootlegged for free off the net. Wonderdogs MDL game was fun to try, as well as Markusfs unit mods.

But I play with a stock Microprose CD, and patch only.

WHO ELSE DOES?

Or at least who else has one available to play from in addition to whatever mod stuff they may have?

My computer has only what came on the CD and the patch.

I'm tempted to add the improved unit graphics, though. They look pretty good.

Which improved unit graphics cavebear? Markusf's came partially from TOT if I recal and were neat lookin.

I installed the H-res pack from the Apol db and they look great but just like the ToT graphics (which are completely different) I couldn't 'see' the game properly so I took them out.
You can't beat the original graphics for clarity which enables you to relax and concentrate on game play

That's a shame. Is it that the new graphics are larger and block out the terrain? What is it that causes the problem? I'm not sure that I would be able to remove them once downloaded, so I would have to feel safe about it first.

i've downloaded quite a few scenarios and have customized my rules.txt and units.gif. but i still have all the original files safely tucked away in their own folder.

also i don't host with my altered rules.txt (which happens to have added modern techs and alterations to modern units)

I too only play with the standard cd and latest patch. However, I DID try Deity's scenario with him.. although Ian, it's soo confusing!
