Wouldn't the Holidays give you more time to play SMAX?

Depends on whether you have a life or not.

As a side note, I request that everyone keep a more civil tone. Apolyton is a place where people can disagree without being disagreeable, and if that decays then 1) someone will be banned or be subject to a temporary ban or 2) the forum and ACDG will be degraded for the rest of us.
Sword rattling is a good thing and is part of the fun of ACDG when done with good will. But, please don’t let that cross the line to harassment and personal attacks. This sucks the life out of a multi-person game very quickly.

Hydro: Wouldn't playing SMAX be part of life?
If you don't do it in Work time, and you don't do it during Holidays, then what is it?
If you don't play SMAX on Weekends or During Holidays,
and it isn't classed as doing work,
then you might as well not play it at all - you apparently have better things to do with your time.

So Smax is neither work nor play, it's part of a balanced lifestyle.
Sort of like Socialising and Exercise.
...
That makes sense.

No, you did, I just loved the way you put it. Copying the things people say about food - "it's part of a balanced diet/lifestyle". SMAC is, in moderation. Some people will have more free time on holidays, so will go away, or to visit family. Some will want to relax without pressures from anything. If there is a reasons, such as the turnplayer or team is doing something for the holiday, I will grant an extention. However I won't do a blanket extra 24 hours for a holiday, I will simply go by if there is a specific reason. Obviously a holiday could easily be a reason, and if so, tell me

Poly is a slow piece of crap that takes so long to register a reply and send you back to the thread, that you think the database is having a hiccup and hasn't processed your reply, so you reply a lot because at times the database has a lot of hiccups,
only to learn that 5 of your requests have been through and Poly is a laggy piece of crap!
AAARRRRGGGHH!!!

EN - I do not appreciate your attitude. Please exercise a little more discretion.
