Turn 124, 110 BC Support Apolyton or Terrorists Win

MAST sends us WM accepted. I accept and send ours back accepted.

City Management

Altered Disney and House of Style's WF to maximize growth in HoS.

Forest chop near Sunshinia means there's 1 shield left on its Settler built. Not cool. I went and stole a flood plains from Sunshinia and gave it to Las Vegas, while giving up some of Suntanland's for Sunshinia.

Changed Friendship City from lake to plains for extra shields.

With plenty of cash on hand I decided to rush a Granary for Funky Town (with a cow it has a powerful growth potential). Total cost was about 260 gold.

Rainbow Connection, Pleasantville and Friendly Alligators switched to CHs. Building for the future.

Units

Worker Goodwrench (down south) irrigates fur tiles for HoS.
Worker Jack Handy (NE) moves 8 and will start a road up to Rainbow Connection next turn).
Worker Mr. English moves towards a hill near Happy Hills to start mining. Going to get those hill mines ASAP then go onto other things.
Worker Andy begins mining a different Happy Hills hill tile in conjunction with Paul Bunyan (6 turns left)
Worker Greenjeans (down south) moves to begin building a road to our future Palace site.

Horseman Nova (down south) fortifies to heal up to 5 HP.
Horseman Zeus (down south) moves 2-6.
Horseman Apollo (down south) moves 6-8, heading for barb camp; 1 barb Warrior defending and no MAST units in sight... unless they have one next to the camp on the other side the camp is ours.
Horseman Dasher (down south) moves 4; heading for the western fog.
Horseman Mars (down south) moves 8-8; heading north. There's too many Horsemen down south and not enough up north to help out with camps up there.
Hoplite Barry (down south) moves 1; moving further out to protect Workers in the area.

Horseman Comet (west) moves 2-4; heading for new barb camp in the west.
Warrior Gary (NW) fortifies on mountain.
Hoplite Dudly (NNW) attacks 2HP barb Warrior nearby, loses 1 HP but is promoted to ELITE!; clearing out barbs up north that annoy me.

Warrior Jimmy (Suntanland) moves 7-7-7; going to claim the west so that we don't have to worry about barbs and such when we start building cities over there.
Warrior JimBo (Funky Town) sent on auto to a site to the SE of us to watch the perimeter better.

572 gold in the tank, making +65 per turn.
Theology in 28 turns with 1 scientist.
4th in GNP, down to 7th in MFG.
Military is average with Latin Lovers, strong to MAST and weak to everyone else.

The forest chop went to LV, not Sunshinia. Look at the number of turns dropped on LV to produce it's settler. The 1 shield left is due to the way you had Sunshinia setup last turn.

The cost should have been 220 gold.

We need workers to improve the tiles in those towns. Even with a CH, neither one will be of much good without tile improvements. The one worker making a road to RC is not enough. RC should produce 2 or 3 workers. With the one on the way they can improve that floodplain and a couple of hills. Then produce a CH using the workers to chop the forest to speed it. Or do you plan on spending a bunch of money to rush the CH?

Yup. The result of lots of barb camps down south including a couple that had hordes at the new age. Moving 1 up north as you are doing will be good. I think we need to keep 4 down south as it is a much bigger area.

I don't mean to be ****ing. I disagree with what he is doing with some of the cities because I don't understand what his plans are for them. Only by exchanging info about our plans/concerns can we understand each other and either agree on which plan is best or come up with a new plan that is better.

I didn't take anything either of them said as complaining. I appreciate both of their efforts to keep this game moving. I'm sorry I can't do anything for this team right now except chime in every once and a while.

I big huge kudos to HarryH for keeping us afloat.

And another thanks to Trip for taking over the turns while HarryH was absent.

I think HarryH has had a long run at running things. I think it's time for Trip to take the reigns for a while. Trip has seen many things in all the demo forums. Let's see what he can do while he keeps us abreast of what is happening and about his future plans.

What do you guys say to that?

I wasn't planning on the shields going to Sunshinia at all. I simply didn't expect the forest chop to finish when it did, and instead of the new Sunshinia WF going to that forest for 2 shields, it instead went to an unmined hill for 1 shield, meaning the Settler ended up being 1 shield short...

Yeah, it was 200-something. I can look up exact numbers if people want me to.

The problem is the tiles available. None of the cities up north have much of anything to use except a bunch of jungle. We need to get rid of some of that before we can expect these cities to grow and be producive. Chopping some of that jungle is on the agenda for the Workers that are currently working on Happy Hills' Hills for the FP built. Once those are done, some Workers will be working on clearing tiles for the northern cities. This way, we can have the CHs finishing (maybe with rushing, haven't looked into that yet), the cities growing and tiles being cleared and improved all in a sort of finely-timed ballet as E_T likes to say.

If we spend a bunch of population and shields on Workers now then that's fewer for us to use on the CHs which will be necessary later on. We have a few Workers that will have nothing to do soon and quite a few cities with Granaries to make more once we get some new cities up.

Right, keeping the majority of them in the south, right now we only have a single regular Horsemen doing stuff in the north (the west really). Having one up north will improve that situation.

I agree 100%. The more questions and suggestions the better. Keeping everyone informed and involved is an important part of a team's synergy and the more the members are willing to be involved the better.

Ahh. It makes sense now.

Same with the ones out east. The workers near HH are not enough to do the job and the cities will be growing faster than new cities can be built. Soon FA and RC will be using jungle and unimproved hills, providing very little for the city while stiffling their growth. Building a few workers now will pay off in the long run as the improvements will be done much quicker. Once the workers are available chopping a couple of forests will speed the CHs along.
