	Please read and respond Increase Your PM Length

Some of the gms in some of the games have recieved my orders through pms from Anita Blake. I am full aware that every gm who has gotten this has automatically made the jump that she is my DL. This is however, not true. There does need to be some light shed on the matter however. Anita is my girlfriend, the reason why this was not mentioned earlier was that we both expected to be accused of colaboration to the point of cheating. To combat this we both decided to play seperate games (besides Assasins) so there could be no doubt as to our integrity in the games. This is also why we both joined around the same time. To all the gms whom I told that Anita was just my friend sending orders for me while I was out of town, I apoligize. I never meant to decieve, only for both of us to participate in the games without prejudice or suspision of cheating. I realize that this probably sounds like a crock to most of you, therefore I will probably be leaving Poly to stop any harsh feelings. I only ask that you allow Anita to continue to play as it was my fault for jumping to the conclusion that you all would be overly suspicious. Any of the gms who wish to remove me from their current games may do so. I guess I will base my decision on whether I leave or not on the majority reaction of the populace. Once again, I apoligize for any inconvieniance and I wish you all a good day.

I for one don't really care if you both play and collaborate together in games. It already goes on among people who have been here for a while - some alliances lasting through multiple games or even across different game genres.

If your only reason for leaving Poly is to avoid "harsh feelings", my only advice is don't leave. :shrug:

Well see here's the thing. I am stationed in Germany and she lives in the U.S. going to collage. She came over to visit for 2 weeks (hence us both being late sending orders and the whole miss-sent pms). So I won't be able to see if she is mafia or not now that she is back in the states.

I can't say I know you, because of my internet problems(that at last seems to be over!), but one thing I know: On poly, the more active people the better, and I don't see why you should be leaving. Stay here, I'm sure noone objects that.

As one of the GMs that naturally was suspicious when receiving your orders from Anita, I'd say there's no need to leave if your story is correct. Probably it is best if you don't play in the same games, and make sure to log in with the right account.

Also there are wider issues. If you are logging in under the same IP the mods may ask for some confirmation that there are in fact 2 persons.

And Anita would probably have been blamed on Jam as well.

I don't see why they can't both play in games. Assuming his story is true (and I don't see why it wouldn't be) they are two seperate people. That fits the general requirements for joining games. Sure, if it ends up them winning every single game then we may need to look into restricting games, but that very small possibility does not imply we should pre-emptively ban one from playing when the other does.

Ok, gues I'll be staying on after all. Thanks for not giving me the axe . The ip problem is soved now as she has gone back home and won't be logging in with my computer for at least another few months or so when she visits again. I figure since the mods have seen that she used a diffrent ip the entire time and then the same one for a sort period that they wouldn't jump to the ban.

1. could people PLEASE be a little more clear with their thread titles. I dont read every thread, and I DO use thread titles to decide what to read. I thought this would be of interest to EVERYONE who reads other games, NOT JUST the participants in Forum Games. Its bad enough in OT - we expect vague or misleading thread titles there - but lets try to do better here.

2. Follow up to 1 - you ARE aware that the Other Games forum is NOT just about forum games dont you? Its also a place to discuss PC games other than the ones featured on Apolyton. And to discuss the PC gaming in general.


Im not arguing for taking forum games elsewhere (im realist enough to know that wont happen ) but it is kind of annoying when someone posts something that seems to imply that a parochial issue of forum games is of universal interest, so that they title "please read and respond" with no more specificity.

Sorry if Ive just flamed a newbie. But thats how newbies learn, I guess.

Remember this thread back before forum games came around? This area was even less active the A/C, and threads hardly got any replies?

Fastforward to now, the threads actually about other games get massive amounts of exposure (comparatively) due to the people in the forums here for the forum games.
