Why cant we have a picture by our name that appears every time we post?
We could put a photo or a drawing we like or something.

Anyone else like this idea?

This is done on EZboard forums, and lots of sites smaller than Apolyton use EZboard. It doesn't seem to make them any slower. Of course, seeing everyones personalized pictures is unbearable smarmy.

Er... no, it wouldn't change the Apolyton server, but the one who opens the page should read all the pictures(esp. if he has a crappy browser that stops loading the page for loading the pictures)...

Well it could have certain GUIDELINES to where they can't use something that big. Maybe a 32X32 pixel gif. Here's an icon of me I use on a chat site http://members.theglobe.com/LaChulita/ICON.GIF

It's KIND of a good idea but there's really no point to it. *shrugs*

Then get a non-crappy browser. On linux that would be mozilla or konquror. On windows or MAC it would be IE.

Sorry, but this is not a feasible implementation suggestion.

First and foremost it would contribute to thread loading time thus slowing the forums as a whole. Secondly, it would most likely lead to noticeable abuse by some people.
