The Story

The Generals gathered their forces and prepared for battle; Spaced Cowboy of the Ramparts sent out a call for Heroes from the land and discovered the mighty Petey Pistol. Almost immediately, he sent his characters out adventuring, where they defeated several beholders, gaining a level each.

Nuclear Master of the Dungeon built up his arsenal, constructing a Harpy Loft and recruiting several of the vile beasts. Then, almost immediatly, he set off on his horse and slay a few trolls, thereby gaining a level.

Over Last Hope, Gamecube's chief city, his hero Corribus recruited more Pikemen and stood staunch, gaining a level in defense of his castle from cruel goblins.

As for the Evil Ben Kenobi, his avatar Vokial worked on some nebulous task in the darkness of his necropolis.

I've been thinking about making the Levels of heroes common knowledge- what do you all think?

It would give more data to figure out what people are doing without having to research a spell to determine that.

I've also been thinking about revealing the # of action points remaining.

What does everyone think about that?

okay, so is that better, I now show levels and action points remaining and hint at what people are doing...

As for people needing to send in orders, we're only waiting on Spaced Cowboy and Nuclear Master right now. (I think)

Oh yes, and I think I've finally worked out a system for keeping track of things, so I think the "bugs" in the game are going down one by one- it can only get better from here

I'm having ideas for building special buildings in each city for version II- Dwarf Treasury in Rampart (extra action points), Cloak of Darkness in Necropolis, etc.

I'm also considering changing the level-up city bonuses and allowing players to select which primary skill gets improved in each character.

I also welcome any other ideas for improvements.

I decided to skip Nuclear Master since he hasn't sent in his orders.

The Story

The last turn before war was allowed was a quiet one for Nuclear Master who is in danger of losing his empire by default next turn as his peasants seek out new masters instead of their lazy, inept, and possibly deceased monarch.

For Gamecube- his character gained a level by defeating the horrible Hydra guarding a pond of gems. In addition, he recruited a new hero- Sir Ector the Knight, newly arrived from Erathia and ready to do battle against evil.

Spaced Cowboy meanwhile, leveled up Bad Bart and recruited more monsters to do his bidding.

Finally, Ben Kenobi worked feverishly on his Necropolis, building structures to augment his forces.

(remember you have to attack an army twice unless they concede the victory... before the hero is destroyed... and the losses have to be on consecutive turns)

- ROUND 4: The Battles Begin

Battle began this turn as Spaced Cowboy's hero Bad Bart ventured forth from his Castle to wage war against Nuclear Master.
Bad Bart mauled Nuclear Master who retreated with only 2 Troglodytes remaining in his army. Bart, for his part, took total casualties of 2 Centaurs in the battle.

However, with Spaced's castle defended only by the level 2 Petey Pistol, Gamecube saw an opportunity and sent forth his hero, Corribus the Knight to wage war against the unfortunate Petey.
Petey fell with casualties of 11 Centaur. However, he managed to retreat with one remaining. Corribus, however, took casualties of 4 Pikemen in his assault on the castle.
