	Denmark - Sweden: the Thread Suffering from ads?

Sweden looks like the stronger side, one of the strongest of them all even. But we'll see. Denmark hasn't been a disappointment either.

I'd like to see both progress but that would require a high-scoring draw if I'm not mistaken. Unless Bulgaria beats Italy of course.

And what's up with the Italian concerns that they might "engineer" a 2-2 draw so that both sides get through to the last eight. Just because that would be the norm back home in Corruptistan, doesn't mean that everyone thinks like that...

I tell ya, that Scandinavian passport union has really gone too far when guys like this aren't turned away at the border. At least in the old days the Swedes had to cross the ice to get hereabouts (he's standing in front of the Copenhagen City Hall).

I once got arrested for having a Leatherman in my belt in a public street. What about this guy's rapier? But Denmark is more liberal in many ways (alcohol and tobacco but not immigration).

Was there another one, or are you thinking of the world cup in spain (1982) where Germany beat Austria 1:0 ? After a beautiful header by Hrubesh in about the 5th minute, W. Germany stopped playing and they essentially passed the ball back and forth for 85 min which allowed Austria to go through.

I can see the beauty of it now....
In the dying seconds of the game, Denmark are breaking from their defence. Thomasson chips the Swedish 'keeper but the ball comes back off the bar. With the 'keeper stranded, Thomasson turns and puts the ball into the back of the net with his bum, sealing a share of the points in an astonishing 2-2 draw.

I remember that, it was the biggest disgrace of any World Cup so far.

But I also seem to recall an instance in the 80's in which Holland in the last game of the qualifying stage had to defeat Malta, was it (?), by at least 11 goals. And sure enough, final result was a convenient 12-1, which was unheard of, even in those days.

I don't really think weapon legislation belongs with that sex, drugs and rock n' roll stuff where Denmark is particularly liberal compared to Sweden. Some time ago, the (conservative) Minister of Justice called for strict regulations on carrying around knives, but she couldn't gain much support in parliament for the weird initiative. Hopefully Venstre won't forget that they're supposed to be a liberal party in a (mostly) liberal government.

The 'Zlatan selv' remark is provocative though, but I guess it's harmless compared to English tabloids that fight WWII all over again every time their team takes on Germany.
