I did try without any firewall! Nothing changed, same problem, searching for servers never stops...

Straight pipe .... what is that supposed to be? I ve got ADSL, so i am straight connected via ADSL modem, which is a router as well, but it forwards all ports to my MAC. Am i supposed to use dial-in?

Is there no solution for MAC-User? Sounds stupid that the MAC-Version of CTP does have a MP Modus for internet game play though it is useless

I appears your model has one built in, you can also very the .nat settings. Go into your router settings and look around, see if this is the same manual as yours also ok?

blackice, my router is definetely not the problem.

First I have to say that firewall is off on my router.

Second I want to tell you that I did try without router, did connect directly (via ISDN modem) to internet. You won't believe it: still the same problem

No firewall, no router, direct connection, new servers.dat - but no way. Is this the point where MAC-Users should give up? It seems like MAC-Version does need special servers or something else that no one of us does know

i have a strange problem today ... after 77 cool turns in a pbem game versus mathemagician, i received his 78th turn and here what i get when i want to open it :



same game since the beginning ( and 6 other games without any problem ) for me and same thing for maths

anybody got a clue ???

from my side : not at all this game + 6 other games with 2 other challengers : no way to change anything !!! and no problem to play the other games

by the way, i posted questions on 2 forums about the impossibility for macusers to reach online multiplayers servers but still no answer ...

and another question too how by the hells could change a file from a pbem play ??? i thought it was impossible once you started a game ...

well ... as i try to be a consciencious guy : i installed once again CTP and updated it with the 1.2 update file ...

then i lauched the turns guys sent, the ones which i got the error message above ...

and i STILL have the same error message !!!

so ... yes i ! come on, why trying to change settings or files during a pbem game ??? what's the matter here ? i'm not sure to fully understand the purpose

in fact, i have this problem with 2 different files of 2 different games but the same error message

if it came from me, what is too a possibility, i'd really like to know how !!! i never made any change to my CTP 1.2 !!! and all turns until then were perfectly playables ...

Ok I take it back both opened fine for me o problem at all. Which does not say much just that they opened.
