Question concerning red colors... Support Apolyton buy from Amazon

Notice the blue stripes on the roofs of several buildings. Well, its supposed to be red! Why do these red pixels turn light blue in the game?

Is there any way I can easily fix this? The original was supposed to look like this...

Support Apolyton, buy Galactic Civilizations: Deluxe Edition

You're using the bright red color (RGB 255, 0, 0) from near the end of the civ2 palette. That's a special color (all the colors at the end of the palette are), don't use it. Only use the shades of red earlier on the palette.

Help yourself to an AD-FREE life

He might not know about palettes. It often happens by accident when you try to use BMPs. MS Paint often converts the GIF red to a slightly different color which reads it as "special red." It's my constant enemy.
