Aeson, rest assured I am learning a TON from your valued advice, and we will doubtless heed it time and again in this game, assuming you are happy to offer it. Your ideas have already shaped the more-food orders I instigated for the last turnchat.
Although I personally think your idea is well worth pausing for a while on, the natives are getting restless. They want enough tiles to begin the Feudal part of this, and they want it yesterday.
Plus, if you want some non-Feudal-orientated counter-arguments to a Granary, with the Egyptians not too far off, we really need to get that settler out to build a few warriors for protection (we have but one ATM!), rather than tie up production for a longer time. Plus the longer we stay at pop greater than 1 on Floodplains without popping a settler out, the greater the chances of more disease hitting, potentially taking us low enough in pop to not allow us the luxury of getting a settler out when we want.

I'm getting better, though. Only took me one poll and, discounting screenshots, maybe, what, 10 posts or so, to piss someone off this game. That's gotta be some kind of record. |
I'm sure I got someone with my second or third post.
My (on-topic) posting is best read with no emotions as that is how it's offered usually, and probably sounds harsh because of it.

Thanks!
They are all good points. My playstyle is usually minimal military except right before a strike. Which while I'll support it, probably isn't the best way to go in a demogame.

I'm not quite sure whether this volcano, is really that threatening, since I've never been hit by any volcano so far. At least it did'nt destroy my city. But I reckon pollution is hard to take anyway.
For the freebie Settler I'd prefer the green location. Yellow doesn't seem any logical at all. Since we can faster move a settler there from our capitol. In think you'd better place him on the green spot, so we can see more production. We have the ag City bonus as well, haven't we, plus some lake tile which makes for more commerce (Desperately longing for a scientific leader to rush the pyramids.)
Btw, What are we researching currently? The Wheel? So we do not dare to research philosophy first?
