	Poll: Europa Univeralis or Dinosaurs Support Apolyton, buy Civilization 2

I would like to conduct an informal poll.

Given the choices:

1. Keep The Dino Forum, forget Europa Universalis
2. Keep the Dino Forum, add an EU Forum
3. Replace Dino Forum with an EU Forum
4. Drop the Dino Forum, forget EU

Which do you choose?

I would like to see an EU forum here at Apolyton, and in the interest of keeping the total # of forums under control, I vote 3.

first of all, the dino forum is not going anywhere

second, we have already given you a way to achieve what you ask: we set a specific forum(the Other Games one in case you forget) to post about EU until the traffic for a separate forum is sufficient. other ways such as posting in the wrong forum or "informal polls" are not really helping the situation....

If dinos is dead, why does it have a forum?

I guess the main thing to point out to people is that no matter how much you complain or ask nicely, Europa Univeralis will not get a forum here. Except if the other games forum is totally dominated by Europa discussion. They are not going to change their minds. It's sad to see a dead game have a forum, while a game that has great potential be tucked away in the Other Games Forum.

Is it all about the name? Too bad Sid couldn't lend his name to Europa Univeralis. Maybe then, it might have a chance here.

yes, we dont act based on loud complaints, nicely asked suggestions or disruption of other forums. we act based on real demand. with 0 threads in the last days and around 60 posts in the last month in the right forum for such discussion i dont see any real demand right now. and of course when i say "real demand" i dont mean the total domination of the other games forum...

So Mark, based on real demand does that mean that the Dinosaurs forum will be deleted? Just curious.

And while I'm asking out of curiosity, why was Dinosaurs ever given a forum? It apparently wasn't because of demand, and I don't think it was because Sid's name was on it, Gettysburg was a Sid Meier game and was never represented here, and I never heard anything saying it would be a Civ type building game, so, why the forum?

Hmmm, I had forgotten that Gettysburg predated this site, that makes sense.

But while it is clear that the earth is round, more or less, I still fail to see how your explanation says why it is round.

I don't think that it is the end of the world if there isn't an Europa Univeralis forum. I just don't see the use of the Dino forum if the game has been put on the shelf.

But I will still come here because the best SMAC/SMAX forums that I know of are here. But it would be really nice if Europa was here as well. Oh well, CGN is a nice place too.

Mark, on a slightly different note, if we could convince some of our European friends (ie: the people who already have the game ) or some of our soon to be friends (North Americans who will soon have the game! ) to do a review or somesuch, would you post it?
