Should this thread be topped? Or should we make a topped Directory thread containing links to threads like this, as well as our current government etc?

With the CMN forum I've got a locked topped thread called notepad. It has one post and I update it with important information like the passwords of all the factions, links to various private forums and important issues like that. It is the only topped thread in the CMN forum too. I also use that thread to enter your private forums because the "leave" link at the top of the page is far too close to the "private forum" link in my opinion.

So my suggestion is have the mod of your faction put up a single locked topped thread and regularly edit the post with all bits of information you think you'll need. You put the more important information at the top of the post and the less useful information at the bottom.

You can have more topped threads if you like. I just perfer having a single topped thread.

Few topped threads sound good. I'd top four threads
- Notepad of Current Important Things (password, team, ...)
- Archive of Past Important Things (old but valuable discussions)
- Yellow Pages
- New Members Welcome & Info

Comments? Suggestions?

If not, I'll start this afternoon copying threads over and linking them.

(Good that I waited with transferring a few things over from the (finally unused) off-site forum )

I'm with Kody on only having one topped thread if we can. We can easily link to various threads provided we keep the topped thread up to date. The linked to threads can then be untopped as they're referenced. Then any new memebers can be pointed to the topped thread, and see a welcome thread link, a past history link, misc important items link etc.

Having said that, so long as we don't have more than 4 topped threads, I'm fine with that. Lets please not make too many though...
